New to Vettes and need opinion
So I am new at 1998 C5 vert owner w/ 65k miles. I want to do an exhaust on this but I am not sure what parts fit well with each other. I found a few things on Summit and I am wondering if any of you foresee of any possible issues (bolting up, header ground clearance ect..)

hello and congrats on the c5! The headers and the mid pipe will not bolt up together. The borla mid pipes and designed to bolt up to factory headers. Those jba headers are a v band set up but it looks like they come with a stub piece for you to weld to the x pipe. You could install everything and leave the stub piece out and drive it to a mufler shop and have them hook up the rest for you. Or just skip the headers, i have no experience with those headers but they dont look awesome maybe save for some higher quality ones then the rest of the borla stuff should bolt right up. Good luck have fun.

I would avoid the JBAs and any other set of headers that don't come with their own mid-pipe just to make things easier. If you're on a budget, the Speed Engineering headers have worked well for a lot of people. If you don't mind spending the money ARH or Kooks are the best money can buy. Either route will give you a complete setup that will bolt up to the Borla system you're interested in
