this happened about a week ago. there is a guy here with a 01 vette and his mods are shorties, cat back and a 75 shot. we did it from a 40mph and as soon as we punched it he jumped a car ahead of me while i spun badly. once i caught i reeled him in by 3rd gear and once we hit 100mph i passed him by 3 cars all the way to 120mph. funny thing is that he didnt say he had nos, but his friend who rode with him spilled everything. this race was before my dyno tune so now we are going to do it again once i am tuned. should get interesting since he is going to spray 100 this time.

 

Must be nice having a supercharged SS....I had a supercharged camaro at one point too..Before I made the move up....

You gotta be supercharged or have a massive head/cam job or somthing to pull on an mn6 with a 75 shot shorties and a cat back..That car should dno around 400 with the juice on and run high 11's..

What mods you got to come back from behind like that on a car like this...

Stock for stock it's a close race depending on gearing and all that stuff.
But you make it sound like your 3500 pound stock SS came from behind and pulled on a 3300 pound C5 with a extra 100 HP on tap?????????????

Im about to go over to the LS1 camaro forum and post how I went 13.5-13.7 at my trackbone stock and beat a bunch of stock Ls1 camaros who were running 13.8-14.1.........

That would just start a lot of dumb stuff though so I wont....

Your story is like someone in a neon SRT-4 (some special ones run high 13's....roughly what the average Z28 runs) saying they came from behind and beat a LS1 camaro with heades and a 75 shot of nos up to 120 mph....And the SRT-4 dosent even post his mods....

Whitecamaross, your trap speed and kill story do not seem to match your mods & dyno numbers at all. The only thing i can think is that you are SIGNIFICANTLY lightened.

That vette had to be putting down AT LEAST 400rwhp and a lot of torque from the NOS in addition to being 200 lbs lighter than and more aerodynamic than an SS.

So with him having a 40rwhp advantage, being 200lbs lighter and more aerodynamic you somehow managed to reel him right in after catching traction at probably 60mph and than proceded put 3 cars on him by 120. I'm sorry but simple mathematics dictates that to be extremely far fetched. Only way that would be believeable is if he never sprayed or missed a gear.
