Default Fox News executives are reportedly debating whether Bill O'Reilly should keep his job

he needs to be gone. he's a loud farce and a self-aggrandizing putz. and very typically woefully unprepared and arrogant. he's part of the glaring problem at fox news (and daytime programming is a total waste of time).

and knucklehead shawn hannity is in a league of his own when it comes to his own loud-mouthed incompetence.......utterly unwatchable.

-------------------------------------------

Fox News executives may be talking about giving Bill O'Reilly the boot.

O'Reilly announced on his show Tuesday that he was taking a vacation, but New York Magazine cited four network sources who said Tuesday night's program could be O'Reilly's last on the network.

"The assumption is that he’ll exit in a non-embarrassing way," one senior Fox News staffer told the magazine.

O'Reilly insisted his vacation had nothing to do with a sexual harassment scandal currently disrupting his brand. The matter has led dozens of advertisers to pull their commercials from the time slot in which his show, "The O'Reilly Factor" airs.

Fox News representatives also told BuzzFeed News that O'Reilly was planning to return on April 24.

"[Around] this time of year, I grab some vacation because it's spring and Easter time," O'Reilly said on Tuesday's show. "Last fall I booked a trip that should be terrific."

Although New York Magazine's sources say network co-president Bill Shine was attempting to save O'Reilly, the matter rests solely on the shoulders of the Murdoch family, which includes Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox News, and James Murdoch, 21st Century Fox CEO.

"It’s up to the family," one senior Fox News official said.

The Murdochs, however, seem to be divided on O'Reilly's future, according to New York Magazine. Two officials from Fox News said that James Murdoch was opting to cut O'Reilly's show, however, Rupert and his older brother Lachlan were fighting to keep the controversial commentator on.

The program is one of the network's top-rated shows and a consistent top-performer among other cable news programs.

The network has been in this situation before, amid a similar harassment ordeal surrounding former Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, who resigned in July 2016.

Despite an advertiser exodus, "The O'Reilly Factor" has seen a surge in viewership. O'Reilly's April 4 show alone managed to draw 3.76 million viewers.

But according to New York Magazine, legal pressures are also mounting. Attorneys from Paul, Weiss — a prestigious law firm known for taking on high-profile clients — was hired to do a "deep dive" investigation into O'Reilly's history, honing in on the claims made by Wendy Walsh, a frequent guest of the show who accused O'Reilly of sexual harassment.

Sean Hannity is great. O'Reilly on the other hand is just your typical Northeast RINO.

I feel Hannity is way too far right where Bill leans right like me.

Fox News is a business. Firing Bill O'Reilly would be a bad business decision.

The advertisers who ditched can be easily replaced. It's the highest rated cable news show and its ratings are GROWING.

His show is tolerable, I don't get the hate. I don't purposefully seek it out or watch it, but once in a while see bits and pieces. Just bland cable news opinion.

It is funny how most of these broadcasters never complain about any type harassment until their careers tank, or they get fired. Then the he said she said claims start flying. Even if it is a consensual affair, the law suits will still start when they lose their positions. He tried to take me to his hotel room after dinner. Is that really a crime? Sorry, but Fox News is also about sexy ladies, no dogs allowed. No chubbies, no slacks, hi heels only, a little wink of a bosom occasionally, and nice butts in tight skirts. They probably have one camera man dedicated to butts and one to leg shots.

Libtards smell blood in the water and see an opportunity to get rid of someone who is destroying them.

Hope they realize payback is a bitch and they are all easily exposed.

This is the real reason they want him gone. They won't stop with OReilly either.

Bill says many, many things that NEED to be said very directly to a massive audience. For example, he often outs liberal bastard judges for disgraceful behavior that would otherwise be virtually known. He put their faces on TV and sometimes even shows them running from Fox reporters rather than facing the American people. And he probably helped drive the bitch Megan Kelly (remember her? ) from Fox, which is good.

Do any of us have any IDEA of what kind of deplorable and illegal activities most rich TV personalities engage in? Geraldo for starters should probably be in jail. Bill is very rude for sure (except when talking to Obongo), but overall, I'm glad he brings attention to the things he does with no sugar coating (again....except for Obongo).

If I had any say in axing anyone, both CommNN and PMSNBCLSD would cease to exist.

He's got the ratings, and they keep going up, so I don't see him leaving now unless videos surface.

If you don't like him, change the channel back to MSNBC where you belong. Don Lemon and Rachel Maddow miss you already.

All this will do is boost his ratings and if FOX does get rid of him, someone else will pick him up if he still wants to work. Pretty confident Bill doesn't need to work, but does so because he enjoys it. But lets think about the title of the article for a minute.

May be talking?

Meaning they could be or this is nothing but a stretch to sensationalize the story.

Tempest maybe MSNBC would be more to your liking.
