I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you. GM could have built that plant in the U.S. but chose not to. So, they need to live with the local laws and judicial system. Seems like they took a risk with their capital, and lost. That is not worth one scratch on the arm of one of our military members. It is just a lesson to American companies, and a lesson to American voters to reject the liberal morons and their oppressive ideas, for that is what they wish upon us.

Nope. This should be out there for all businesses to see. Put your investments in other countries at your own risk. Let it burn.

One of the many companies that have, or have sought, to nationalize. GM has held the leader in market share there for over 35 years, so it was certainly an incentive for them to stay.

And yet another gleaming example of Socialism failing for the entire world to see.

And of course, in case the left wonders why many of us are so staunchly pro-2A in this nation..

Stop any Venezuelan trade into the USA and its allies for unfair seizure of GM assets...

That is the proper/necessary action by the Fed, not a military intervention to "protect"/recover GM assets there.

This is a clear lesson to any companies with assets/workers in a 3rd world chit-hole.

Socialism at it's finest! They weren't too concerned getting free money from a socialist in our government. Here's the flip side to that coin.

As said, I don't feel sorry for them, as building in other countries, you're subject to and at risk with their laws and culture, and destabilized government.

The plant stopped producing cars two years ago and now only makes spare parts.

Are you planning on leaving a military force there indefinitely because if you aren't, what have you accomplished?

Screw GM....they stayed for the money. These lessons already existed before they moved to that shithole....how about Cuba? No intervention by our military needed for this, let it burn.

If GM refuses to send parts to Venezuela, I give them 5 years until they're stranded on the roadside.

Default Venezuela seizes GM plant...GM "quits" Venezuela.

So Venezuela seized a GM plant. Will this effect the delivery status of the Chevy Spark I ordered?

That's a good way to attract new business! That place is falling apart. What a mess.

Let GM arrange it all and pay for it.
