I admit I don't pray enough and that is probably why I am not as happy and content lately when I do regularly. But I am trying to get rid of my crappy attitude and pride out of the way. But when I do pray I like to pray in the morning when sitting outside looking up. At night way too much crap flows through my head and I lose focus. God really has blessed me in my life and I have let Him down way too many times. I wonder why he has smitten me yet(you know like Bruce said in that movie) and I have given Him plenty of chances.

Yes, and throughout my waking hours.

I was once agnostic, but made the journey to full believer. Used to think I knew everything then realized I knew next to nothing. As for those demanding proof of God's existence, I respond look carefully around yourself...what more does he need to do? There is structure and harmony everywhere, in every direction, at every scale. All of our needs are catered for. Throw a deck of cards into the air and watch them randomly fall to the ground...do they randomly organize themselves into a house of cards? Why does nature do this at every scale and in every domain?

Our 5 senses are limited in sensitivity. Our ability to observe the world around us is like trying to observe world through a keyhole. We humans have arrogated ourselves to believe that we see and sense it all. But we are closer to people deaf, dumb and blind from birth. There's far more we cannot sense than that which we can sense. Imagine if we could sense it all.

I went to Catholic elementary school for a few years. I have so many prayers in the bank that I don't need to pray anymore. The nuns had a set amount of time off in purgatory you got for each prayer. I will be out in no time.

No. Waiting for a time to pray is silly given that God operates on a time line completely independent of yours. Pray whenever you see the need to.

I don't believe the universe is not by design, look at the variety of this planet above par with any famous artist.

All I know is I don't understand period.

Actually, I was just in Manhattan yesterday, and had lunch at a Vegan place. Not my thing, but the meal was good.

I haven't been to Brooklyn/Queens much since the in-laws moved out of Great Neck, but based on your posts, I agree you know some great places to eat in that area!

Maybe someday we can work out a meet up for a good lunch, and arm-wrestle over who pays the bill!

You have a Unique way of stating scripture: The husband and wife should join together as often as necessary...........and they say you can't have FUN and be a Christian, too !

Let him who has ears, .listen and comprehend. Let him who has eyes, see and believe.

Do not cast your pearls before swine lest they trample the pearls into the mire, and then turn on you and RIP you to shreds.

God could use the help of someone as dedicated to a Cause as you.

Take it from me...you haven't done nearly enough to be smote. A righteous man falls 6 times.....God picks him up seven.
