Default Breaking News: Sears Wins Court Approval, 45,000 Jobs Saved.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/07/eddi...cond-life.html

Eddie Lampert's deal to buy Sears granted approval, as retailer is given a second life

  1. A federal bankruptcy court judge approved the sale of Sears Holdings to billionaire Eddie Lampert.
  2. The $5.2 billion deal is expected to save 425 stores and roughly 45,000 jobs.
  3. Judge Robert Drain overheard a litany of concerns over a three-day hearing from Sears' unsecured creditors, who pointed to potential flaws in ESL's business plan and its previous failures running the retail giant, in their arguments against the deal.

For once I would like to see the cast aside employees get and take down the greedy CEOs and shareholders just cashing out for their retirements!

They havenít finished picking the meat off of the carcass yet! That is all this extension does! They have big dollar Real Estate transactions to score, to flip the buildings and land for whatever they can greedily pocket!

As you probably already know. No one starts out as a ruthless *****. The world makes you into a ruthless *****, or a submissive bitch. Which do you want to be.

It would be nice if these stores could be preserved to meet the second wave of demand that will come when folks get tired of buying stuff on line site unseen.

425 stores. In five years, it will be lucky if there's a 100.

Oh lets go shopping at Sears, yeah right! Pretty much the only part of the store worth mentioning is the tools section. Sears doesn't even own Craftsman any more.

I had one of their Millennial Store Managers face to face telling her to get out now, and she still thought everything was great six months ago!

They vote the same way too!

Sears just didnít quite make it to the robotic automated era! Missed it by just a little bit!

They would have been better off turning them into indoor swap meets so illegals could rent spaces, and collected by the floor space square footage!

Decades ago, Sears fully surrendered to affirmative action hiring and promoting based on PC identities. Top management actually held meetings telling white men, "Sorry. Please wait in line or leave. But Sears will hire and promote women and minorities ahead of white males".

Merit was literally dismissed as the basis for hiring and promoting. White men left. Today Sears is the long term result that should teach the lesson to America: Merit matters.

Won't last for 5 years, two max. Lambert doesn't want it succeed he just want to sell diehard and Kenmore names, pocket the cash then abandon the rest. He is scum and got away with it, Suppliers that are owed tons of money are pissed to no end.
