Default Winning

So, here's what the Donald won in NK recently. This has been in the news all day, but all I hear from the Trumpetistas is crickets.

Crickets are the sound of Trump "winning". I wonder what losing sounds like?

(CNN)North Korea appears to be finalizing the expansion of a key ballistic missile manufacturing site, according to an analysis of satellite imagery by researchers in the United States.
The images come as leaked reports from US intelligence officials appear to cast doubt on North Korea's willingness abandon its nuclear weapons program, something Washington said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un agreed to when he met US President Donald Trump in Singapore last month.
PLANET LABS INC.
The satellite images, taken by San Francisco-based Planet Labs Inc. and analyzed by researchers at the Middlebury Institute for International Studies (MIIS) in Monterrey, show Pyongyang finishing construction at the Chemical Material Institute, which researchers say is based in the North Korean city of Hamhung. The Chemical Material Institute is known for making carbon composite parts for solid-fueled missiles like nozzles, airframes and nosecones used in re-entry vehicles, according to David Schmerler, a research associate at MIIS.

"The Chemical Materials Institute seems like they have one function, and that's pumping out parts for their missile program," Schmerler said. Kim was shown viewing an artist's depiction of the factory in August 2017, after North Korea tested two intercontinental ballistic missiles. That same month it also threatened the US territory of Guam. The majority of the plant was built in May, after Kim's summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in but before Kim met Trump, said Jeffrey Lewis, the director for the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at MIIS.A spokesman for South Korean President Moon told reporters it's "inappropriate" to comment on reports suggesting North Korea has not stopped construction at weapons facilities and intelligence matters on the whole. A photograph released by North Korean state media last year showing Kim inspecting an artist's rendition of the purported facility.

'Never offered to disarm'

Solid-fueled missiles have significant advantages over their liquid-fueled counterparts, as they're easier to store and move because solid fuel is less volatile than liquid, experts say. Long-range ballistic missiles can be used to deliver a miniaturized nuclear warhead thousands of miles away. The missiles North Korea tested in 2017 with intercontinental range were liquid-fueled missiles, but Pyongyang has successfully tested a solid-fueled missile believed to have a range somewhere between 1,200 to 2,000 kilometers (745 to 1,240 miles).During his annual New Year's speech, Kim also ordered his country's ballistic missile and nuclear weapons research sectors to mass produce both items. Since then, the young North Korean leader has been on a diplomatic push, meeting with world leaders and brandishing his image as a global statesman. Kim has consistently said he's willing to denuclearize, but long-time North Korea watchers worry that Pyongyang and Washington have very different definitions of the term denuclearization."Kim has never offered to disarm. Not once," Lewis said. "He's arming, not disarming."Trump and Kim's signed agreement after their summit in Singapore stated that Kim "reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" and that his country would commit "to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."Play Video
Photos show N. Korea improving nuclear facility 02:35North Korea monitoring website 38 North analyzed satellite images last week that showed infrastructure improvements surrounding some of Pyongyang's nuclear facilities, but the authors cautioned the work "should not be seen as having any relationship to North Korea's pledge to denuclearize. "The North's nuclear cadre can be expected to proceed with business as usual until specific orders are issued from Pyongyang," 38 North said.

'President's been very clear'

White House National Security Adviser John Bolton told CBS News Sunday that the US has a plan to dismantle North Korea's weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs in the space of a year, but that Pyongyang needs to reveal any undeclared weapons sites to move forward."There's nobody involved in this discussion with North Korea in the administration who is overburdened by na´vetÚ. We've seen how the North Koreans have behaved before," Bolton said."The President's been very clear. He is not going to make mistakes of prior administrations. We are going to pursue this, and we will see what happens."Bolton declined to comment on a report in the Washington Post Saturday that US intelligence officials have concluded North Korea does not intend to fully surrender its nuclear stockpile, and is preparing to deceive the US about the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal and the existence of undisclosed facilities used to make fissile material.US officials led by Ambassador Sung Kim, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's point man for negotiations with Pyongyang, met with their North Korean counterparts Sunday at the demilitarized zone that divides North and South Korea, the first such meeting since the Singapore summit.

When was their latest rocket test? When did they last detonate an atomic bomb? Where were your cut and paste posts when those occurred riding the president for his failures?

Oh that's right, you're a commie partisan hack who can't think for himself. Let CNN continue to talk for you and the rest of the idiots.

Another RIM failure thread. Trump increases sanctions and the people of N. Korea are eating roots to survive from starving to death. It is the long game, but N. Korea will fall in a bloody coup. Its just a matter of time.

If NK actually developed the things and set off a nuke in a city, he'd be on here 30 seconds later happy as can be making his usual dumbfuck posts... because look what Trump caused.

It really does take a pathetic piece of **** to hope bad things happen just so you can point a finger at someone on the other side. Of course it seems like most liberals these days fall into that category.

Aside from proving your utter ignorance as to what constitutes "treason" (which is as pathetic as the rest of your lack of understanding of the US Constitution), you revel in this setback and you (and the rest of us) know it

You're a pathetic punk

You have to be a troll.

I refuse to believe that anybody is actually as completely goddamn stupid as the things you post.

Hey RIM, how successful was your boy Barry at disarming NK? We know how successful he and Hillary were arming the JV Team while it killed thousands of civilians. It must suck to be you celebrating a ***** in the nuclear disarmament talks.

Trump attempted to gain a non-Nuclear NK agreement from Kim, not a non-missile NK agreement. The link is about missile component factories, not nuclear weapons factories.

.

RIM, should the US restore our solid fuel missile program, the Peacekeeper (MX) program, the missile with the best success to target record of any ICBM?

One Peacekeeper with conventional explosive warheads could take out Kim's missile factories (take up MacArthur's advice on sending a deterrent message when he left NK decades ago, and alleviate your fear).

Projecting are we RiM? Seems to me you are the traitor and a sap who voted for the biggest con artist US politics has ever seen (Obama). He sold us out to Putin, he sold us out to Iran, he sold us out to NK, and he sold us on lie after lie (aka... you can keep your doctor)

You were warned before you elected the rabble-rouser community-agitator that sat in the "church" of a hateful anti-American racist for 17 years that if you elected him, the bar couldn't possibly be set any lower. You went ahead and elected him anyway. We warned you.

RIM would rather see America fail than to see President Trump succeed. Party over country, the libtard way.

Please post up the part that shows how the USA gave up or lost anything? Seems we got hostages and remains of our beloved returned and no missle tests for over a year. Did I miss the part where we flew billions in cargo planes without congresses approval?

actually he's turning out to be the best thing since president reagan.

though i will say that president trumps' attempts at trying to infatuate kim jong un to butter him up for a deal on the nuke thing was on the level of slobbering and it was utterly unnecessary. in fact it was utterly embarrassing, like your clown boy obama and bowing to the saudi king.

i can only hope that trump won't ever resort to that kind of silly little embarrassing tactic again. talking up the opposition up doesn't work with tyrants anywhere, as well as islam. i hope he learned his lesson on this one (though he well should have known better in the first place).
