They don't even have to be elites, just democrats. My neighbor has a Bernie Sanders sticker on his Prius and wears Obama tshirts. He walks his pitbull around the neighborhood unleashed because he thinks laws don't apply to him. He tells people his dog is on a "mental leash!"

Wonder how these kids feel about not earning their way into college? They are probably not grounded like their parents and think it is okay to use their privilege.

few seemed to figure out that the kids of the rich and famous always just seem to be so bright that they get accepted
to the prestige schools...."follow the money" applies to academia-be shocked(not).

Rich folks have been buying their kids into elite schools forever, Kennedys, Bushes, etc.

its just leveling the playing field. If people can get an advantage because of their nationality or color of skin, why cant they get one for their cash?

What gets me about this is not so much the entitled parents trying to get their kids into a good school, although the bribery is bad enough. There has to be a fairly extensive network of connected and corrupted officials in these schools for this to happen. There's no way someone just goes in and hands cash to one corrupted person in admissions. This is a cabal at each of these institutions. It has to be.

From what the FBI is saying and news outlets reporting this is a huge ring and RICO laws will apply.

Didn't mean to leave you out of the mix Gary. 30yr is working his little fanny off trying to get the "leftist count" down in his long-winded, anti-everyone-who-disagrees-with-me, get-off-my-lawn rants. So I'm being a fantastic friend by helping him keep track. The post earlier in this thread is the first in a week where he didn't use the word "leftist" which lead to a "0" leftist count. Now yer all up to speed, won't you join me in cheering for 30yr? He's trying extra hard but old habits are difficult to break (brake?) and he needs our full support.

IMO, the biggest advantage those with money have is the ability to send their kids to good schools and have the means to pay for the totally legitimate but expensive and very helpful SAT/ACT courses to get higher test scores.

Those kids should get their education the old fashioned way-have their parents buy the college a building.

That's what I was thinking! Building, a clinic, library resources ...

True story. My good friend probably spent 50K on tutors for both the SAT/ACT and LSAT for his daughter, they did a lot of private 1:1 tutoring. Well worth it, she graduated from Columbia Law.

At least that's the old-fashioned way.

However, if his name were "Cortez" instead of "Kushner," no bribes would have been necessary.

True story. I could never afford to do that.

Think of all the money he could have saved with Photoshop:
Singer would tell the prospective students to pose for pictures or would alter stock images and photoshop the child's face onto an athlete
