Default Who will win 2020? Can you be objective

Hereís the criteria:

1. Chance your preferred candidate will win
2. Name their likely opponent
3: 3 Pros for why your preferred candidate will win, 3 cons/challenges they face
4: 3 challenges their opponent faces, 3 potential advantages they might have.

Can you make the case?

Iíll start:

Biden 50/50

Obviously Trump

Biden Pros: Known quantity with voters, Harder to Pigeonhole/Polarize, strong with voters Trump needs to win

Biden Challenges: Primary may damage Dem unity, Not seen as progressive enough, may not play well for those seeking change from status quo

Trump challenges: Coalition he used to win may not be available, abortion laws hurt him even more with women he needs, midterms did not bode well and little has changed

Trump advantages: Incumbancy and base, economy if it holds, if Dems choose anyone but Biden he has 60-70% chance .

I hope it is Biden. Known quality with voters, did jack **** to help the blue collar worker when Vice President. I'll take that all day compared to what Trump has done for the blue collar worker

I say Trump at about 85%. because Russia Russia Russia will help him steal a 2nd election, or maybe because he is doing a fantastic job...Can you guess which one the voters will think and which one CNN will report?

Democrat canidate - Joe Biden / Bootygig because the democrat machine has to back and go with someone a little less radical or see the party implode completely. Why Bootyboy? To pacify the extreme left because being gay makes him fully qualified and social statements are more important than policy.

Can we get through this without name-calling? This is a time to think and then show your work. Objectivity is a real thing, like facts.

I'd rate Trump at 50% and all others well less. The TDS is impossible to ignore.

Trump beats Biden because nobody gives a **** about Biden, they nominate him because he's "electable" and he goes down in flames exactly like the "electables" McCain and Romney,.

Biden will not be "put under the microscope." Certianly not by the media, and anything the right does will not be reported anyway.

Bernie will be used as a pawn and eventually cast aside by power brokers the same as last time.

Can you make the case?
1. Presidents with great economies almost always get re elected. The economy is GREAT so Trump is my bet.
2. The Dems are flailing, the party is crumbling because their base doesn't understand socialism and its dangers. Moderate Dems are extinct by and large and the few that remain wield zero influence with the base. They so far have NO viable candidate so I am unsure here.
3. Trump supports are DIEHARD lovers of America and freedom, Trump gets 10's of thousands out for rallies and these people wait hour and hours to MAYBE get in. It is because he loves America and puts America first.

Pos;
a. Economy, the Economy is Trumps all the way. He did it by erasing a historic number of crushing regulations brought by all previous idiots (on both sides) and the tax cuts.
b. Unemployment. Unemployment is at record lows for all categories. This is all Trump, he has brought droves of manufacturing jobs back to America (remember the famous jobs Obama said were gone forever and could only be brought back with a magic wand?), he is making other nations pay their shares and he has and still is renegotiating trade deals that benefited everyone else but America.
c. He is cleaning up the corruption in the major agencies and that is turning out to be a MASSIVE task. Even the MSM will not be able to deny the coverage when they start indicting the criminals.

Cons;
a. Twitter. He pulls zero punches and I personally like that. twitter is one of his only non biased formats. The MSM only wants to destroy him, so he has to use Twitter - but some people can't understand that at heart he is a true America loving construction worker and they get all bent out of shape.
b. The MSM media hates him, they are controlled by the elite liberals like Soros et all and will stop at nothing including lies, deceit, obfuscation and anything else to take down the legitimately elected president. It is astonishing.
c. China is going to be a challenge, they are extremely dangerous and iot may take longer than expected to bring them around, they will eventually have to come around but it may not be the best timing.

Trump's opponent Pro's
1. The MSM will love them no matter who it is or how incompetent or how bad for America they will be idolized and given endless free POSITIVE coverage.
2. They do not need any real issues to run on, they can cover just touchy feely stuff and be social warriors as long as they also run on Trump hate (not a winning platform IMHO but a platform nonetheless)
3. The dems almost ALL suffer from TDS so they will get on board.

Trump's opponent Con's
1. Dems have a serious losing record on the economy.
2. Dems have a serious track record for killing jobs and losing manufacturing. Obama presided 8 years over the weakest recovery since WW2, he and Bush decimated our manufacturing abilities, and regulated us to death - no one wants to go back to that.
3. The majority of voting Americans understand that socialism is terrible - ESPECIALLY now that it is on display in Venezuela. Just a decade ago Venezuela was a thriving country with an incredible economy and VAST resources, today their people are LITERALLY starving in the streets ALL because of socialism.

Forget all the political game playing, Trump won already against insurmountable odds on campaign promises to turn things around. He's held true on virtually every promise, with ocare being the sole exception, but he can do that if they can get some votes. I'd like to **** on the dead guys grave but what would that accomplish.

He's got positively nothing anyone can point to and say this is bad. I would be terrified to debate him at this point with him having heaps and mountains of ammo to go after any progressive idiot that cares to peddle their communism. He's good at cutting through the weeds and getting right to the point in a way simple folks understand. They like that.

1 Track Record
2 Economic Savvy
3 Communications to the ordinary person.

You'd have to be delusional to think someone is going to win over an incumbent Trump unless he starts now at full-on destroy America tactics, and I don't see that happening. I'm not even worried about the 2020 election, I'd worry more about November and Congress. There's where he needs to really gain. (edit) And not just gain seats, but gain support. Let's not confuse the two.

So much for objectivity. The idea that Trump has it in the bag is the same arrogance that led to Clintonís loss. The base is solidified and is going nowhere. The economy is good but the improvement in peopleís actual lives is less as the the jobs being created are not what they were. But , Trump has to fill out a winning coalition of electoral votes in places where Dems could be competitive. The midterms should not have been as devastating as they were with conditions mentioned. Keeping the Senate was not a win as it should never have been in play. Losses in the house were historic. Women generally do not like him and are a significant factor. Also Trump got many votes from folks who did not like Hillary. A Biden would not be as polorizing or laden with baggage. If we choose a first (woman, AA Women, gay candidate) I think the country would be less likely to choose change at the top. Biden is closer to where the majority of the country is as compared to Sanders or other more progressive candidates.
