Just curious. What specifically did the "one guy" do that caused the recession, and what, specifically, did the "other one" do to get the economy "steaming along"?

Specifics!

The U.S. deficit to GDP ratio has been steadily increasing since 2018. As I see it, it's a broken campaign promise...for smaller government. If it really is smaller, taxpayers are paying more for less.

Scandals and indictments of administration members are way way up. Obama ran a clean ship. Trump drained the swamp all right...and brought a new swampier swamp with him.

He's probably set the EPA back 10 years. Trump digs coal!

The RWNJ's are like asbestos....we can't get rid of it all, instead lets not stir it up please? FAIL
Thank you for re-affirming how much of a fool you are.

It doesn't matter what you think. You're a Trump hater.

Trump gets credit for the booming economy. The president in office gets the credit for good economy, and blame for bad.

You can't speak it away or spin it into the narrative you want.Sorry.

If that upsets you Trump haters or you don't know how to deal with it, THEN IT'S YOUR PROBLEM.

Eh, I identify more with the Green Party and Libertarians, partial Trump supporter, a left-centrist perhaps. But I am seeing a pattern here. I've been a NEW member for a few weeks, and have made a handful of respectful but mostly contrarian posts (I don't see a lot of far-left threads here). There seems to be a 95% Republican built-in majority (unsure of the actual numbers). It's very tribal, very "us" or "them". So the MO for the Republican posters is this:

1) Read the offending poster's post (optional)
2) Side-step the actual debate points
3) Establish the offending poster as a "them". Centrists, Libertarians, Independents, Green Party Members...all "them liberals".
4) Unleash the barking hounds!

Easy peasy, Japanesey. You can literally win every debate with this fool-proof 4-step approach. Or, you can perceive it that way. Well, I'm not sure how that can be a satisfying "win" for you, but it kind of bores me. *yawn*

You arent a centrist. Nice try.

Well, I first noticed this burning sensation when I peed starting in 2016. But you know, come to think of it, that may have been related to that trip to Thailand...
