Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987.
In 1999, Trump changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York.
In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic.
In September 2009, Trump changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party.
In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent).
In April 2012, Trump again returned to the Republican Party.

Tested the waters and the waters sucked. It appears he returned to the better of the options most often.

Uh huh. Switched parties 3 times and somehow you high five each other.

By the way, do yourselves a favor and do NOT look up the definition of conviction. Oh what the hell, I did it for you. It makes the bolded that much more funny.

Conviction:
"a firmly held belief or opinion"

or the opposite of changing your opinions (read: switching parties) with the wind.

Enjoy your night boys

The term was used to describe your lack of a spine. Do you shake hands like a fish? I think so. The way you tap dance around words and meaning points in the direction of being a ballerina

Check out Trump news clips, interviews, Oprah and Phil Donahue appearances from the 1980s on.

Trump knew what he was and remains: A US patriot. He, like Reagan, was disgusted with most politicians. To many Americans, the Democrat party appeals when young. However, as thinking people mature, they see politics is a necessary, evil, lying profession for which most applicants are unable to be effective at much else.

Some patriots -- after they have spent years earning a good living -- put their patriotism above their personal comfort. They run for political office in order to serve the nation that had been good to them.

These patriots never changed their patriotic ideals and objectives. They became disgusted by the way professional politicians are destroying the USA. As Reagan explained: "I did not leave the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party left me."

Those that can't, don't. Then they teach. Or, at least claim to teach

Just maybe he had the CONVICTION to do what ever it took to make his company successful.

As you have never been in business you have no clue on the "pay to play" requirements that government puts on business especially developers.

If you want to get something built there are MANY politicians hands to grease to make it happen.

I only was involved in this in a small scale and it was crazy. You can't get a permit until you buy this or pay for that and give it to certain people.
