Nobody has done anything about this for 40+ years. Wages have being undercut by immigration (legal and illegal) and offshoring and inshoring. Which is why wages barely budge even in such a low unemployment scenario. Which is why unemployment isn't a super useful measure, once it's divorced from any impact on wages or benefits.

That is so funny. I am not at all amazed how many people that have zero clue about tariffs and how they are applied against American busienss. The MSM have told them lies for so long. Re-Education of Socailist Democrats is going to be a hard learing curve for them.

No idea. I have positions that match with all parties. I lean left on social issues and the economy, that much is obvious. But I'm also a gun proponent, want closed borders, better wages for US citizens, better trade deals that don't screw the USA. Etc.

The south-west part of the country is always looking for teachers, nurses and skilled construction workers. The test for new cops and firefights starts June or July.

exactly
In the 1980ís I made $16-25 as a carpenter depending on the job.
Today the same job doesnít pay much if any more. Because of all immigrants that the democrats and liberal rinos refuse to stop coming in the keeps skilled trade jobs wages low.

That would be the business owners who want the desperate unskilled labor.

they want to pay less and can because the line is long asking for work.
that should tell you that taking away those illegals will force those dirty businesses to have to pay more because no one is a long line.

you answered your own statement.

Problem is PRC is often whining about how 47% of Americans don't pay net income tax. Well, this is why. Half the employed people barely make anything. And half the reason is big business pushing for, and getting policies like offshoring and inshoring, and looking the other way at illegal immigration. At least Trump is doing something about the illegals and a bit on the H-1B inshoring. Wish he'd do more.

You dumbass. The liberal politicians you support are the reason for open borders, low wages and bad trade deals. Everything Trump is working to repair while you continue to hate him and support the idiots who are obstructing his efforts.

Your selfish ignorance could not be more obvious.

rich do not pay taxes. they pass the burden on to customers.
PERIOD, end of story.
Do you have the slightest shred of evidence that dem policies caused offshoring of manufacturing? Or isn't a TON more likely that dirt-cheap labor and no/little regulations like clean air, minimum wage, etc caused it due to greed of companies and eventually to simply compete with the companies already doing it?

While we pay 50,000,000 not to work.

Do you see the real problem? Government meddling in the market VS protecting people from other people, groups and organizations and foreign powers.

Since government is pushing an agenda they must partner with people they would normally be investigating. From the banks, Health insurance, big pharma, and dozens of other groups that use their leverage with government to make THEM richer.

I didn't but I've heard of it. Isn't that the one about people being promoted for being good at their jobs, only to eventually get promoted to where they were incompetent?
