Default Trump Announces Two-Week Delay To Planned ICE Deportations

To allow a bipartisan border solution

President Trump announced Saturday that a planned mass apprehension of illegal immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is being delayed for two weeks, in the hope that a bipartisan solution to the border crisis can be reached.

At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border, he tweeted.

If not, Deportations start! he added.

Disappointed, but I'll give him this "charity" if it forces a wall and more border guarding.

We've been waiting for a bipartisan solution for about 50 years now......

Each time Trump has talked about getting tough with illegals, when the time comes he drops his purse.

Granted he has zero help in DC from anyone, but why bother to talk about if you aren't going to man up and start massive deportations until every last illegal is shipped out.

Trump has a habit of making statements that bring out the agitators, and then turning the statement into an advanced warning, like with this policy change.

Now the DHS has two weeks to reallocate resources to the vocally obstructionist cities, and their respective Mayor and Police Chief offices.

The FBI & NSA has two weeks to monitor the agitators.

He may know better than we do, but the last time he did this the (D's) shafted him, and the media was all to happy to declare Pelosi & Co the winner.

This is honestly just how he operates. I assume he make the initial announcement to get the Dems on board with an actual long term solution. If they agree to negotiate he likely changes the deportation order to something softer.

he is actually not that far to the right at all, quite center actually. He just does not want to sit around and let the stays quo be.

With the 2020 elections just over a year away, its not a bad strategy to appeal to the center as the party willing to work with the other side. Trumps base is pretty securely for him, now is a good time to start picking at the undecideds.

at the request of democrats
This is the part that bothers me. You know these America hating PsOS are up to something. They'll likely help them all ho into hiding, or file a lawsuit w some leftist judge to block it.

Never trust democrats. Trump needs to figure this out and realize the dems have one goal in mind, ******* Trump.

The Democrats are, my opinion, very happy with the status quo. We have now a de facto open border which is what they want. They will be happy with Trump beginning a mass deportation of people with deportations orders. Say? These people are the mother load, the El Dorado of Boo-Hoo-Hoo stories. Nancy is already telling us that these are hard working, family loving, virtuous people. And of course, overlooking that they violate immigration laws, and violate court orders to leave the country, these are the people we need to live here.

Trump's deportation announcement, the big uproar, now the two week delay, will now fat least force the Democrats and their media associates to discuss the immigration issue, something they've refused to do.

Illegal means not lawful and anybody who aids or abets an unlawful entry or stay should be apprehended as well ...

The law is on Trump's side so why is he going soft ?

Get tough and negotiate after , from a position of strength ----isn't that how Trump supposedly operates ?

He doesn't have the support of the Democrats, no surprise. But he also doesn't have the support of many Republicans. Remember the Republicans kicking up sand when he wanted to institute the Mexican tariffs? McConnell was hinting at a Senate Republican rebellion. I think the general public is the sector with strongest anti-illegal immigrant feelings. I kinda think about 60% of the US public is anti-illegal immigrant. Could be wrong.....probably not 60% in California. If Trump starts deporting illegals, the MSM will go into an anti-Trump frenzy, and we'll be hearing only the most selected tear jerking Boo Hoo Hoo stories about people being deported. Probably wants to negotiate to make it look like he tried with the Democrats before starting mass deportation....if he does. I've read that President Eisenhower deported Mexicans in the millions when he was President. Of course in Eisenhower's day, the demographics were far different.

That means the Dems blinked. Not that they have any power over the President.

It seems that Trump and his followers are having to ''deal with it ''....

What about the 'request' of those who voted for him , and his supporters , to do something real about the problem ?

If the POTUS can't enforce the law and uphold The Constitution who the hell can .?.

Yup, and the cuntwits forget that once they show that they aren't actually willing to compromise, Trump will do exactly what he said he would. He's giving them 2 weeks to show the nation, once again, they are liars and unwilling to do what is needed to solve the border crisis.
