Default More from the land of fruits and nuts

On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill making free health care available to illegal aliens. California is the first state to do so, reflecting a similar eagerness among Democrat presidential contenders to do the same thing at the federal level.

Never mind that those same Democrats support Obamacare, which imposed heavy tax penalties on United States citizens who didnít purchase their own increasingly-expensive health insurance. In the political calculus of the Left, the economic needs of United States citizens count for less than the economic needs of illegal aliens.

The cost of providing these benefits to illegal aliens will be a massive $98 million. Itís a good thing that California doesnít have any needy citizens who might benefit from those resources.

And of course California tax payers will have to pay the bill. .....

I call BS. No way it's only going to cost $98 million.

Yeah, I find that estimate hard to believe as well. CA was already providing healthcare to illegals age 18 and under, and the newly signed legislation extends this to illegals aged 25 and under (it doesn't cover illegals older than 25). So maybe the cost for the added 19-25 year-olds will "only" be $98 million. But of course, this also won't be the end of it - the next step will be to cover illegals older than 25....

Now we can only hope that some of Trump's efforts will result in fewer illegals in general, despite CA's "resistance".....

Is that 98 mill for ever? A year? A month? A week? A typo? Was it actually 98 billion?

My wife and I moved from that shithole in 2008. Best decision of our lives. Our only regret is not moving sooner.

Let TriTip enjoy the crime, traffic, smog, illegals, homelessness, tent cities, earthquakes, and ludicrous cost of living. He can have all that.

I sadly disagree. It's already been like that for almost two decades. Last time I took somebody to ERabout 10 years ago, the place was jammed out the door (on a weeknight after midnight) with illegals and gangbangers. They were throwing gang signs at us to threaten us to not check in and possibly get ahead of them. There must have been 100 or more children with about 20 adults, all claiming the horde was their own. 100% sure they got their treatments and meds, left and never paid a penny owed.

I know a person who got chemicals in his eyes at work and his wife drove him immediately to ER and found it full like this. The wife kept begging he be seen ASAP....for just over 8 hours. He finally got in and had lost sight in both eyes permanently. The doctor popped off a cynical, "If you had come in here in a timely manner it would have been a simple matter of just flushing your eyes with no major damage done.". The wife literally attacked the doctor and screamed the facts at him while she had him on the ground beating him. The hospital tried to make a deal they wouldn't file assault charges on her if they wouldn't sue for malpractice......last I heard she told them, "Bring it.".

When people finally notice something, the trend or change is already over. The time to save California was 20 years ago. The time to save the US was about 10 years ago. Now it's like a drunk, it has to hit rock bottom with lots of pain before it gets up and wipes the crap off itself. Unfortunately.

I agree. They keep telling us they have the 7th largest economy in world. Shouldn't hurt them or their perfect weather a bit.

Every emergency room in California is jammed with Mamacita's and anchor babies 24/7. The only way to get in without waiting for hours... take an ambulance ride it will get you to the front of the line. Perhaps your friend could have saved his vision. The pachucos never use ambulance because you have to pay a bill.

Yep. The ER at the hospital I worked at could not ask for insurance or refuse service to anyone. It was a small town so the hospital was able to setup a community clinic to handle the minority population that worked at the Casinos and hotels. Fund raisers and donations helped to finance the community clinic. I always enjoyed the golf tournament fund raisers.

If you add a zero, you might be within an order of magnitude of the real number.

The state of CA tried this legally, courts said, NO and immigration is a federal issue.
U guys read about voter approved prop 187. It's already been proven u don't take decent care of these people diseases cured 50 years ago will be back.

Since nobody closed the back door decades after Ronald Regan amnesty its political.
Politicans do or say anything to stay in office. Some these same politicians who used to scream for more deportation now say, Healthcare for everybody!

State law says something like, If u need medical help and dial 911 paramedics will show up. OR if u can get to a ER hospital they will treat u
