what if we got a car hauler and 5 or 6 vettes, and ship em out and back for this...

...still would be cheaper than local ;)

transportation should be an option this spring; I'm 2 miles from the largest auction on the east coast, trailers and haulers drive by every 10 seconds, we've been talking about this:yesnod:

Maybe he'll let us "sleep over" in the shop, while the cars are being done........if we sweep floors, wash windows, etc...

Would the car still be streetable as a daily driver after this kind of install, like smooth idle and all? (Not familiar with cam and heads and how it affects drivability.) I have a 99 coupe A4 w/R&M twin-flo intake, hypertech programmed w/160 thermostat and B&B PRT exhaust now, would I be pushing that 420-450 rwhp even though I'm just about stock? Also, how long would you need the car?

you are not making 420whp w/ a handheld and filter

time? about 2-3 days

give me a call with any other questions:flag:

Domin8r 11-08-2006 01:51 PM

no, I know I'm not making 420 now, I was wondering since I was basicly stock would I be making 420-450 after this install or would I need more than that

420+ is typical w/ the heads/cam/AR headers starting w/ a bone stock C5:thumbs:

Another Cali guy

I see a lot of cali guys on here talking about this and I agree. Something like this would be way more expensive in the area. A caravan would be nice. I would definitely be interested. I would also like to know how streetable and reliable my car would be after this done to it? Using it as a daily driver? what would we expect for idling?

I am in a similar boat to Domin8r on my 98.

Why can't any of the southern cali vendors offer this kind of deal. For some reason you guys back east get all the deals or should I say steals. Any Cali vendors want to step to the plate???

wingnutt 11-09-2006 08:46 PM

...then again, it might be easier to sneak out there, kidnap him and his parts, then drag him out here for a week or two.

hell, i can get us a good deal on a dyno in the bay area for the tuning

all we need is a shop for the install :yesnod:

wingnutt 11-09-2006 08:49 PM

...it is kind of funny that all that have responded (but one) on this page are in cali :banghead:

there's 15 bolts/head, what's the big deal?

Looking for that kind of deal here too! Going tomorrow to look into local install of the same heads/cam and also AR headers. If the cali guys talk you into flying out there to do some installs, maybe I'll drive it up there for ya:rofl:

haha...ok, so speaking from a theoretical perspective, if we could set you up with a shop and a dyno, would it be cost effective and would you consider such a thing or not?

its an AWD mustang dyno, so the numbers may show lower than what youre expecting, but as long as we all know that going in... :willy:
