9 degrees;
A heat wave... Its 70 in Dallas today. My Dad was asking and then replied. Its warm here too (milwaukee) 3 degrees. Last week it was -15 degrees (below zero) |
I broke my pinky tip once, and while it doesn't hurt, it isn't straight anymore either.

Nice Work Sly, although I'll pass on the polar bear swim!!

I was going to suggest that you get that finger X-rayed. I broke a finger tip last year and it looked just like that. You'll be able to predict the weather with your finger from now on. It's a big annoyance only having 9 useful fingers but in a few months you should be good as new.

Are you going to make your own adapter for the Ford T5?
That is the only thing that scares me. . . That is the purpose of this thread, to show that all you need is desire and these things are easy and cost effective. Now if it will only warm up a bit, I can get this project back on track!!! |

by the way i know you guys think stock junk yard T-5's will hold up in your 350's and what not (even though they wont, speaking from personal experience with more than 4 T-5's) so i figured i at least post one of the best ford transmission places i've dealt with
http://www.ddperformance.com/ they have brand new rebuilt T-5's for $999 capable of handling 330ftlbs torque (not 200 ftlbs torque like the stocker) i bought my TKO 600 from them and some other parts over the years and they know their **** and were great with me. so just a heads up! |

A very nice guy by the way. Put him in your favs fellas. |
World Class ford T5s range from 300 to 330 lbs of torque, stock. The one I put in my 79 was rated at 300 ft. lbs right out of the Mustang it was in. The 200 ft. lb. T5s are out of 4 and 6 cylinder cars.

Correct.
However, make sure you get as new as possible. I believe that the first T5's in Mustangs in late 83 - 85 V8's were rated at slightly less than 300 lb-ft and not the world class units. All V8's from 87 on were at least 300 lb-ft. I'm not sure about the 86. |
