Its just a car and a little snow...you only live once...let the kid out every once in a while. Had my car been done I would have done it fo sho and I aint no kid.

THNXHON 03-01-2010 11:40 AM

Looks like a blast! I doubt hubby would appreciate me doing that in his Z and I probably wouldn't do it in my 'vert either :nono:

I remember that snow storm. Luckily my Z06 was in my garage that day. However my GTI was out in it and I was doing some donuts with the E-brake on my way to work in the morning... :yesnod::lol:

:iagree: Thats pretty much what it boils down to. The owner can paint the car Mary Kay pink and put slot mags on it too if they want. :D

Looks like a BLAST!!!! True you dont need snow to do that, I would agree with the "saving tires" comment. Remember that Z's wernt made with that much power just to do 55 on sunday afternoons. When we were snowed in 3 weeks ago I was SOOOOO bored, if I had the Z up here, you bet your @$$ Id be out in our large parking lots!! ....just my .02 :D

"Dad is going to be mad" LMFO

I would never treat any Corvette like this, but doesn't look like he was doing any harm----revs are not out of sight, slow approaches, and under pretty good control .
Probably better than leaving my Queen in the garage most of the year

Used to do that sort of thing all the time in N.Y. as a teenager. Was ok for my '82 V6 camaro, but thinking not so much my Z06. ;-P

Bronk 03-03-2010 05:33 PM

Heck, when I lived in Maine, that would be par for the course when driving during the winter months, and it would be unintentional!! Slippin' and slidin' were normal hazards when driving the Vette in the winter.

I did it in my SRT with the E-brake in a parking garage. It was also the first time it has snowed here in my life. I was also 17 or so. But it was a blast indeed and I'd do it in my Z if it was my DD and had already been through hell and back...

sslowss 03-11-2010 09:53 AM

Looks exactly like a z that was in the for sale section a few weeks ago

02corvette 03-15-2010 09:26 AM

Maybe he has never seen snow before. I guess to each his own - just not for me

2MchFun 03-15-2010 02:43 PM

That's what happens when you don't see snow very often
...a fun, tire-saving, way to get some doughnuts under your belt :D

Daluvman 03-15-2010 02:57 PM

Like the song says....... "What ever" Just not in my Z, is all I say:nono:

Hex$cyn 03-15-2010 04:30 PM

That's what happens when you don't know how to drift a Z06 on dry asphalt. it's kinda like training wheels for a wanabe.

In other news....CorvetteForum members still don't understand that their cars don't melt when they get wet.

Z06supercharged 03-16-2010 10:14 PM

Well that looks a helluva lot more fun than chasing cones in a dry parking lot!

:iagree: Doing that in no way hurt that car. These cars were made to be beat on. And thats not even beating on it. But I guess it's better to have a 7 year old car with 14 miles on it.

Good point, why save it for the next owner. Use it abuse it then loose it.

machz800ps 03-19-2010 10:12 AM
