thanks for the complement! I would likely go with the vredestein's! I've read a few reviews about them, and people seem to really like them. Nice tread pattern, great high-speed stability, good wet/dry traction. I just tend to shy away from sumi's for my vette (although they get reasonable reviews as well). |

If I had to do it over again, I'd go with either the F1's again or I might even buck up for the mega-expensive BFGs. I'm partial to F1's but only because they stick to the road like glue but I didn't have much luck on high speed passes with those tires. The Vred's feel stable at 140 mph. They do have a more round profile than the Eagle F1 which feels like they roll a bit in the corners but anything in comparison to the eagles would naturally. I'll also add that the Vreds don't stick out quite as far outside the wheel well which was a huge plus to me. I don't like tires sticking out! These tires fit super under my car. I will keep the wheel/tire size for the future. I called AFS to ask about the tread pattern and they said it's normal. Just a FYI.http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/v...g?t=1275526495http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/v...g?t=1275526599 If I stand directly over the rear, I can just barely see rubber and that's the way I want it. |

That is incredible. I want my car to look like yours! :willy: What wheel/tire combo is that? How did those FIT? I have an '86, can I fit those on mine? I love the blue too. Sorry, I don't mean to go on, but I absolutely love the way your car looks.
I think you will need a different rear offset for a 86 .

I went with the AFS package deal with the vred's and 315's and I really like the look. Much better than stock IMO. I will comment on the vred's though. At first I didn't really like them but after a while they grew on me. I like the tread pattern and love the rain performance but the eagle f1 tires seem to shed water better. (I live in Oregon and see more rain than anyone) ;)

I'm glad I could help.;) I did countless hours of research and god knows how many posts on here asking about this and that and was pretty confident myself but was still very skeptical. I REALLLLLY didn't want my car to look like crap and I'm very pleased with the results. As said before, all I really need is to get er' a little lower for the stance I want.
More research!! |

See, that's the only thing that was holding me back, the tires sticking out too much. Your pics have sealed the deal. What are your alignment specs?

Man that looks wicked! Such a mean looking ride. I'd like to lower mine a hair once I get the wheels, but I'm planning on hitting 450whp first
I'm hoping to get around 320 rwhp with a fresh stroker one of these days. I don't need an elaborate motor. Just something to put on another 100k. |
