i just did this and it was aweful. i think it might have been too cold or something and it didn't spray out or go on very smooth then it started to run really badly. I couldn't find on the can if it needs to be a certain temperature so i took a chance with it being 30 degrees out because i'm too impatient to wait for warmer weather. luckily it really does peal right off. it took about 1 minute and came off almost in 1 piece then 2 more smaller pieces and its like it never happened.
I saw later on that it should be 50-70 degrees so im gonna try it again the 1st warm day we get. |
The possible issue with Plasticoat could be that it may start to peel off when washing the area. :ack: So the advantage could also become a disadvantage

first real world application I can think of is when you're on a road trip or on teh track... spray some on.. do your thing.... when you're done.. strip it of..

Fastbird, picture looks great. What did you do to prep the area?

There was a post on the forum sometime back on that. I believe there was a price quote of somewhere around $200 to have it done. I think the big issue is the openings on each side. It appears the most economical approach is the old mask it off and use the rattle can paint.
You could even use carbon fiber looking vinyl. Or any color for that matter. |
