I always drive Flat Out. That's how I drive. Flat Out.

I have had my GS for a little over 2 weeks. I have put 3000 miles on it! I love to see how fast I can get from stoplight to stoplight. This car is so much fun! I drive it like I stole it!

Mine is a daily driver so most of my miles are 5 mph faster than traffic.

When safe I like to romp on it, so much fun. I really enjoy my vette as a DD.

Don-Vette 11-06-2014 06:55 AM

Let's just say when I'm at a stop light, I'm always the first one out the gate in the Vette or the Caddy. Lol

My kids will tell you I drive like an old man.

I drive reasonably and safely in traffic. If I am at the head of the line at a light I do get up to the speed limit faster than anybody else!! On the interstate I usually drive 5 - 7 over. I did do 120 on I-80 back in September. I do like to carve corners. We did the Tail of the Dragon in October. Bought the car new in January and in less than a year we have over 12,000 miles on it.

I drive my '70 like a bad azz race car driver, pulling second gear mashing on the gas. I drive my '10 GS like a Wimp...because I'm not a race car driver and I would only hurt myself.

:iagree:

It surprises me how slow everything else is on the road. When I'm stuck in traffic I can easily keep up with everyone in the C6 keeping the RPMs under 2000rpms.

That's my driving habits. Otherwise I'll do this... :reddevil

Video is an oldie but goodie before the blower install

roscoe118 11-06-2014 08:18 AM

I never exceed the speed limit...:leaving:

Still getting used to what this wonderful motor can do after trading in my 10 year old Miata. Passing a truck on a rural road yesterday just couldn't make my foot back off that gas pedal and once in the clear glanced at the speedo and couldn't believe it was at 120. What a rush!

I get on it a little bit on the interstate, but hardly any on the 55 MPH roads between adjacent towns or in town.

It is an A6 and I do use the paddles a little around town.

Granitehead53 11-06-2014 09:11 AM

Mine is a DD and I very rarely exceed the speed limit. Have had it over 100 once :leaving: I just enjoy the ride and the fun of driving it every day

EVILFACE 11-06-2014 09:17 AM

Drive it like it was built for.

Seems a waste to granny drive or garage queen it.

How I drive everyday

PittMD1 11-06-2014 09:25 AM

Normal 5 - 10 over the limit.

I have grown tired of hearing my wife scream in terror and getting punched in the arm. As if that wasn't enough not getting laid for a couple of weeks.

JakeC6Racing 11-06-2014 09:33 AM

I drive it sitting down

Something about a circular on-ramp and driving sideways. He wasn't really sure of the violation so after we laughed, we were both on our way.

piper_chuck 11-06-2014 09:41 AM

Normally no more than 5-10 mph over the speed limit. Occasionally take off faster at a light, on an on ramp, etc. Fastest I've had it is a little over 80 on the interstate and once when passing someone on a back road. Recently I've changed the HUD to the screen that shows the g force so I can see how had I'm cornering. The highest I've seen so far is .54.

Funny story but sorely true. Im a nut bar I think behind the wheel but I try to be a safe nut bar. I was driving home in the dark a couple weeks ago (live in SC) there was a slow car on I 85 in the left lane at a 3 lane area (Greenville not a good place to speed)So i get right on this guys bumper in 3rd gear and rev it to let him know I was noticing how he was driving in the passing lane. Well about the time he moved over (and the blue lights came on )I hit the breaks real fast and pulled off the road to the right, as I had open lanes beside me. NOTE no Gov plates on this undercover guy LOL. Well we spoke for a bit and he said he saw me comming and moved to that lane on purpose. He also explained that no radar as he was feeling kind ( I have a detector but if he never turns it on it dont help) Long and short of it I got a following too close ticket LOL.
No bull all true ,I chuckled the rest of the way home.
So Piper chuck needs to come drive with me and get some of those numbers up!! im pretty sure I have in the past seen170/0.9 (not at the same time)
