Perfect, Thanks
I'll measure my q-jet setup this weekend. |
There was a tag on the Fitech Command Center that said you must use a vented gas cap. Can't seem to fine a "true" vented cap, any thoughts on this would be appreciated! Here is a quick video showing an idea that I think will work..... maybe!!!

I also drilled a hole in my cap too... Likewise no drama, no smell, seems to work fine.

The stant caps come apart with a small prybar/screwdriver and you can remove the springs & valves. In racing if your vent isn't sized right you can actually collapse a tank with a good pump. I drilled the center of mine out more once the stuff was removed. I also put back on a nonvented cap on for winter storage.

I did the same thing to vent tank when I install my Fitech unit and have no problems to report. I'm sure its not the best way but I would do it again and not think twice. No gas smell in garage either.

I went with an in-tank pump and maintained the existing evap system (charcoal canister) to act as the vent. So far so good.

Went for a drive the Fitech EFI. Gotta say so far it's doing great!!

Looks good! Get a bunch of driving in before fiddling with settings much, it gets much better as you drive it more.
