FYI, did I miss something? The car took 1st (BEST IN CLASS) in custom at EXPO, BEST IN CLASS in it's class at the last AUTORAMA four months ago, and has one BEST ENGINE at Lone Star recently as well as at local shows. You forgot to mention your ride...
Oh yeah for a car driven every time i get a chance, it scored 97 out of 100-if I would have had one more red crayon it might have gotten a 98!

looks good, I think he was just saying it was a red corvette.

No ZR1?

I thought the show went well and is starting to attract vendors and people again. I was able to see a ZR1 - I parked next to it in the $7 parking lot :D

My fiancee and I almost went after lunch this weekend, but decided not to.

I love and appreciate the time and dedication put in to these cars to make them look awesome, but a corvette standing still, is just that. Nothing beats seeing these cars roar down the Texas Mile at 180-200+mph right in front of you. Love watching Steve, Arnold, and a few other forum guys ripping down the runway in Goliad in the last few years.

I'd wish it was at the track, with a combined race and show car event. That would bring in a lot of different car enthusiast.

The car was awesome. The comment was more about the way the photo came out. Maybe it's just my monitor, but it looks super-saturated in the red range.

Not a cat, but yeah, that's me. I'm at the shop a few times a week since I'm always having work done on and my cars are always up there.

cat= endearment. Wife said your name sounded familiar but couldn't remember you off hand. Said she thought you played football or something like that.

 Nothing big, little juco college ball. Sorry for the cat metaphor.

Shirts turned out nice. Almost sported one out to the track last weekend to make a pass, but I couldn't get a hold of one in time. I've got 1-2 EG shirts for TX2k11 and the Texas Mile, but the more shirts, the better.

sweet, wifes uncle owns bullshirts so we get a pretty decent deal on pricing. I figure as well as Jason and Stephen have treated us we'd give em a little hook up. I ended up keeping 2 of them myself and wore one out to a bar and had a few folks trying to hit me up for them.

I run about 4000-5000 t shirts through my work a year. I generally get them in full color, front and back for about $4-4.20 a shirt on my selection of white shirts to start with. Shoot me a pm if you guys can do cheaper.

It's like, how much more red could this be?

And the answer is none. None more red.

Show cars generally turn me off...they're SO overdone it gets ridiculous.

I can appreciate the work that is involved in keeping it at that level of cleanliness, but that's about it.

BT03mach-1 02-17-2011 07:15 PM

I'm the same way.... i love seeing a clean stock looking car with some O **** under the hood.

either way both take a lot of hard work!!!!

My 2 cents.
Besides the +/- 7 Corvette Clubs in greater Houston who work hard each year to bring quality Vettes out for the public to see, this is the only significant indoor Vette/Chevy show in the Southern US. Vette Vues took over two years ago and has done a good job of mixing the number or Vette/Chevy vendors to the Vette/Chevy cars. The event soldout Bldg. A for the most part. There were even Vettes for sale from C1 through C6 if you were interested. I have nothing but good comments for the event and hope it is continually supported for years to come. The Camaro boys have given the show a great venue and there were at least three Chevy/Vette performance shops represented.
The opportunities in Houston and the surrounding areas, not to mention state wide are hands down some of the best opportunites in the USA! So drive, modify, purchase, sale and enjoy.
OK, maybe this was three cents worth.

:iagree: Thought it was a great show....
