Another update. Today I made a verbal agreement with a restoration shop for some body work on my 66 coupe as a finder fee for helping them secure the car. I think that is the best deal for me. Originally I just wanted to see someone make use of it and didn't want anything in return, but what the heck. Mark

Nooooo, I want this for a resto project...SRIII Super-Tub frame, C6 suspension, 63 rear section, 65 fenders, LS7/427 engine, LG Sequential Trans, 67 stinger hood. Come on :willy: :steering: WTF.

Well it's still a verbal agreement with the restoration shop! So I think you might still be able to buy it.. check with the owner, maybe he'd sell it to you

ANOTHER UPDATE,I just bought this 63 shell. The guy also gave me a lot of parts that go with it. Dash frame, spare tire tub, 2 extra coupe doors. etc. I plan on trading the car to a restoration shop toward some work on my 66 L36 coupe. We just have to agree on how much this 63 is worth, any ideas? Mark

When I saw the thread title "Abandoned 63 coupe" the first thought that came to mind was:
"Yea, right....and I bet BigFoot was driving it? And Moth-man was riding shotgun?"
This story is has the makings of a great "Urban Legend" which really happened!
I wonder what it will be transformed into?
Another original one-owner documented never-hit numbers-matching fuelie? :D

Another great candidate for the the " Barn Finds" display to be held at Corvettes at Carlisle this August. Also, this car is not far away from there right now!

It can star in Fast and Furious Six. They'll have to make some additional "sacrificial" copies for the stunts.

So what is the story behind the car as far as how it became a pile. Did you ask about what the owner knows about the car and how it was used and customized/raced/never finished project? I want the story of the car's early years.
