I have a 68 coupe and wondered what day it was made by the general just for kicks. Turns out it was 31 July 1968, last day of corvette production for the 1968 model year. I thought it to be kind of a neat fact.
Just to think it was one day away from being able to share parts with the rest of C3 vettes and not needing all those one year only parts... Her birthday is tomorrow - October 4th, 1968

A day later it might be a '69, but there's quite a list of odd early-late-etc '69 parts out there too, so you still would have had plenty to deal with!

FWIW: here's the link to my favorite perpetual calendar. http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/index.html
Plug in the year you want, click Show, then determine on which day of the week your Corvette was born, or your block was cast, or your engine was assembled, or the day your car shipped. |

My 69 was born march 17th and I was born 2/28/69. Looks like I am 17 days older than my car.
|
My 73 trim tag is C10, I figure sometime between Oct 10 (Tuesday) and Thursday (Oct 12, 1972) as the day the car rolled off the production line based off what has been posted here on the forum. The Corvette registry listed the date as Oct 12, very close to the trim tag day.
