Well I hope by the time I plan to get one In a few years a better shade is in production instead of this atrocity.

Accelerate yellow is not nearly as green as shock yellow. I really don't know how GM can call shock yellow "yellow" but I can see how accelerate yellow can be in the yellow family so that's how I would describe the difference.

I was hoping Accelerate Yellow was going to be just another name for Shock Yellow.
I like the Shock. I think it's pretty exotic looking.
Which yellow do you prefer after seeing it in person?

I prefer AY over SY, but VY is my favorite yellow.

I didn’t necessarily mean body panels not fitting together just these circled areas not being in line. My eyes instantly go to them not matching up. Compared to my C6 where the lines match up pretty much.

The C8 at that angle I can see what you say, but viewed from perpendicularly the C8 side it looks good to me.

Generally not much of a fan of yellow cars and accelerate yellow on the C8 certainly does NOT help. That is not a nice shade of yellow. I actually think that the shock yellow on the camaro looks better...if you're going with highlighter yellow...go highlighter yellow not this half hearted attempt. hard pass here.

It does look somewhat better but the joints are still off. The targa’s rear joint ends before the door opening & the door opening is an inch or so into the fake quarter window & the bottom joint of the rear hatch is at a different angle than the top joint. Like I said my eyes just get drawn to it like they do to slightly crooked pictures on walls. Looks like a poorly put together puzzle.

Back on topic - like many others, I think a different yellow will be released for 2021.

I made a similar post in another thread about the yellow... looks similar to Ford's Zinc yellow, but I think the Ford color doesn't cast as green.

Yeesh... I’m not a fan of yellow cars in general, but this looks similar to a slightly brighter version of BMW’s Austin Yellow on the M3/M4. It’s pretty gross.

Because green has horrible sales every generation they bring it back.

It's a good color (much better on the C8 than the yellow used on past generations), but the body colored everything makes it look bad (seriously, even the mesh grills in the back are body colored). Also the paint appears kind of dull, but it could be the photos.

I like it. I dont like the body colored moldings or vents, though. All of that stuff needs to be black. It looks like someone had the car repainted, at Maaco, and the painter didnt tape off the trim and moldings, vents, and just painted it. I hate that look.

It's all personal preference. Tonal colors work for some people, but putting Red calipers on a different color of Red car ? That just doesn't work.

I'm NOT a yellow guy... And I think AY looks FANTASTIC! Were I ordering one, it'd be a toss up amongst AW & BLK. Finally, Corvette 86ed that dreadful Taxi Cab Yellow :ack: they made for so many generations of Corvettes since 1974. Kudos to GM Corvette division. They truly have something special with AY !! 👍💖
