Just saw this thread, wow, am I jealous, that has always been one of my dream corvettes...along with a '67 427/435hp. Definitely subscribed and love the videos.

Radiator is out. You can now see the Callaway oil cooler that is sandwiched between the AC condenser and the radiator.

Radiator shroud

Chris, when I reinstalled the shroud. I moved those 3 capture nuts on the shroud to the part of the shroud that stayed on the car on both sides. Then you can access them easier thru the front radiator opening to reinstall. Kevin

Ha, that's exactly what I was thinking about doing! Glad to know it works out. Thanks.

Great thread. If I had it, the damn modification bug would be hitting me...

What the date to get out on the road?

I don't have a date. It takes as long as it takes to make it right.

This may be the best nugget of info ... those little mothers are hell on a fat handed, arthritic fingered old man. Chris, I have the compulsion to clean, upgrade, and detail everything on my project cars. I've detailed, fixed ,replaced ,repaired so much on my M3's, Eldorado, AMG Benz, Jeeps, Lincoln ls, and others and now a c4. Love to rescue these old low mileage cars, make them like new and release them back into the wild!

The c4 is new to me so I really appreciate folks like you that post experiences and knowledge. My goal, if the tree huggers don't take over the world, is to roll this c4 into a low mileage, last model year ZR-1. My childhood dream car.

Oh, gosh. I remember removing, cleaning and polishing that bracket. What a pain that was to get down in those corners.

I've never been a fan of painting aluminum parts, though, so I never go that far with it.

Anyway. Looks good. Good work.

JoeNova 01-07-2022 11:40 AM

Wow, I didn't realize the turbos were so small!

You do some very clean resto work.
