Mine does...

I've got the glass tops, too, and my interior temps are easily 110 degrees with the windows rolled up on a hot, sunny day. It doesn't help I've got a black, leather interior, too.

I'm thinking about getting the glass top interior panel you see in MAM and Eckler's. I've got the static cling film and it does decent, but I need something more.

A/C-wise, I think I may have a partially clogged expansion valve/orifice tube screen. I'm getting operating vents temps of 42 degrees (just two degrees shy of the requisite 40 degree standard) but R134a doesn't seem to cool as well as the old R12.

On a ninety-degree day with high humidity, best interior temp I could obtain was 60 degrees at the vent. This morning, with temps in the low seventies, I got down to a comfortable 42 degrees. I know they say it's normal for your A/C to pull the outside air down 30 degrees or more, but it just doesn't seem like my system is operating properly.

This is exactly what mine is doing in my 89 right now. Did you try to get it fixed? and what did it cost? Thanks

93 black w/black cloth seats (gotta love cloth during a Delaware summer) with 85K.

Blows cold!

My 86 ac was working great, but recently it's been switching between blowing hot and cold.

It sucks when it hot outside and you are chilling in the cool AC, then suddenly it blows hot for 60 seconds :(

Have you had this checked to see why it's doing this? YOur problem sounds similar to mine.

Mine works fine

The A/C works fine on my 88, but unless it is really hot, I would rather drive without it. As far as I know, mine has never been worked on.
