Yes. Why did I just order a 2010 GS with a manual trans? The '07 I purchased a few years back was ordered with the A6 so my wife could drive it. It's not an everyday vehicle and soon after the purchase of it I started getting itchy to "row the gears".....

I debated until the very last minute weather or not I would buy Manual or Auto. In the end I went A6 but my next Corvette will be manual.

I have had several muscle cars with manual trans. I'm at the age that I just don't like shifting gears all the time.
The paddle shifter on the c6 is why I went with the auto. No .. I wouldn't buy one if they only had manual trans. Ben, OH |
I drove an automatic C6 once not because I wanted to, but my C6 was getting work done and the dealership said just take this red automatic. It was pretty boring to say the least.

Yes, I would buy a Corvette if all they offered was a manual. I'm an old coot, but I love going through the gears, my 09 is a manual and I love it.

Would have bought a manual without even thinking about it. However, with my wife, a manual was no sale. She insisted on a auto so she could drive it. Of course now that the car has been bought she won't drive it.
I will admit I like the auto in city traffic. I don't like the auto when maneuvering on the freeway. I find it difficult to control the acceleration with the "fly-by-wire" throttle commanding downshift and varying engine power. I need to start using the sift paddles, maybe it'll be more controllable. |
