I've driven a handful of them and felt the same way. They are incredible at going fast in a straight shot, but a lot is left on the table. I was going to buy one earlier this year (2015) and after driving my friend's for about 1 hour i just couldn't do it. I ended up getting a used C6Z.
10 years ago i would have got the HC, but these days i'm more into road courses and that Challenger couldn't dream of taking a turn at speed IMO. Great cars, but as many said, different comparison.:thumbs: |

Looks like there is a supercharged "Hellcat" Viper coming according to MT March 2016.
It is the Viper ADR (American Drag Racer) and it will be street legal and an automatic. They say it will be a 9 sec car....900 HP.....800 TQ.... |

Not sure if the stingray guys can post here but I contemplated the hellcat only because I have 2 kids and wanted them to be able to ride with me to shows etc. but my wife said f*** the hellcat get the corvette. I couldn't agree more.
I don't like owning a car that comes with an optional V6 motor. Plus that challenger body just isn't that appealing. But the HP is impressive. |
