what are gains on this and how much? also how does it compare the A&A setup

If you have long tube headers you cannot run this turbo system. The gains on a stock C5 compared to a A&A kit will be similar. Turbo kits are not CARB or SMOG legal... A&A kits are 50 State legal. We're also a A&A dealer and have sold many of their kits... they make an excellent kit with excellent results.

I'm thinking of going the F/I route within the following year...just wanted to get an idea of what the gains would be.. also do i get discount if i purchase the system through you and install?

Sure... we can give you a deal on parts and install :)

Both are FI power adders but they do it in very different ways. Generally speaking turbos make more power per psi than SC's. But each has it's advantages and disadvantages. Just google "turbo vs sc" as everyone has their own opinion as to which is better and why.


Generally the gains have a wide variety of factors: Fuel used, clutch, cam, engine (LS1,6,2,3)....other supporting mods.

But to give you an Idea, here's some results that we've had.

LS1
C5- Stock early LS1 (Auto) - 91pump - 10psi - 550whp
C5 - Stock LS6 - E85 - 10PSI - 630whp
GTO - Built LS1 - 91pump - 10psi - 740whp

LS2
C6 - LS2 Stock - 91pump - 9psi - 620whp
C6 - Stock LS2 - 91+Meth - 8psi - 672whp
C6 - Stock LS2 - 91+Meth - 8psi - 670whp
C6 - Built LS2 - E85 - 14psi - 818whp
GTO - Stock LS2 - 91 - 10psi - 671whp
GTO - Cam'd LS2 - 91 - 8psi - 655whp

LS3
C6 - Stock LS3 - 91 - 8psi - 660whp
Camaro - Stock LS3 - 91 - 7.5psi - 642whp


A general breakdown of what you might expect with a kit @8psi on pump gas:

97-00 LS1 - 450-500
01-04 LS1 - 500-550
LS6 - 525-575
LS2 - 550-600
LS3 - 600-650

Add Meth, E85, a Cam, or +2psi, and you could easily see +50 to any of these.

HKS Turbo Timer
By adding a HKS Turbo Timer you'll allow your turbo to cool down which will prolong turbo life by allowing the oil in the return line to cool. This cooling ensures no oil becomes clogged in the hose, restricting future oil flow. Turbo timers are a nice piece of insurance for your turbo. The HKS turbo timer also includes useful features such as a timer, RPM gauge, speed, and voltage displays. This timer can work in fully automatic mode, decide how long the car should stay on for you, or a manual mode, allowing you to set the idle time yourself.

UPP Manual Boost Controller
The manual boost controller allows you to go up in boost pressure with out having to change out wastegate springs. Gives you the opportunity to go up in boost pressure by about 10PSI.
