What is your daily driver?

Just curious what everyone else is driving as their regular car if your Z06 isn't your DD.....which I assume is the case for 90% of the members here.
I drive a 2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain, 4x4 crew cab w/ 5.3 V8 and 3.42 rear end. Very very different from a Z06 but very enjoyable in its own right. I got a flowmaster catback on it w/ dual side exit pipes (redneck wooo) and weathertech floor liners so I can get it nice and dirty w/ no worries. |
2014 Mustang
|
I drive a 03 ford lightning,sonic blue
|
2009 Pontiac g8 gt
|
Rides a bit stiffer than the Z, till there's a thousand pounds in the back, or I'm dragging the trailer with the Z in it around.

I don't want to put anyone to shame by posting sweet pics so..... Dodge Neon. I will say, driving a car that you could not care less about nicks and scratches is a nice contrast from the Corvette.

I also like poster w/ the G8 (what I traded for the truck) & the lightning has always been one of my favs |

2013 Caddy ATS...super fun car to drive! (not mine in the pic...but looks the same)

I drive a 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv for my 100+ mile daily commute. I love the 36-38 mpg's! Pretty slow being an automatic and all, but has beat up on STi's and other much faster cars on the autox with nothing more than a set of sticky tires. :)
Here she is in summer mode with graphite painted FD RX7 wheels (15 lbs/ea). http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psf86ef015.jpg |

One of the daily drivers. 2013 Yukon Denali.
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps6ca2171e.jpg When the Z06 is just too boring. 700+Hp plus 2400 lbs can be fun. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...newpics001.jpg |
Man you guys are rich! I drive a 2004 Honda civic hybrid with 181k on the clock. Car gets 44mpg....soooo.:D
|
2008 F150 Super crew. Daily driving is split between it and my Z06 depending on weather and hauling needs.
|
2004 Silverado 2500HD Duramax Diesel right at 600 rwhp and has 194k miles on it
http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6beefc7e.jpg |
I drive a 2008 ZO6 as my daily driver.
My wife drives a C6 convertible, or, she does until her C7 convertible arrives. We also have a 1999 GMC Suburban but we don't drive it much. The Corvettes are just too much fun to leave them sit in the garage. |
GMC Sierra pickup  and a John Deere Gator around the property.
|
06' Z06 for a daily driver, and an 08' Silverado when the weather isn't good.
|
2012 Volkswagen Passat is my current daily after having two Honda Accords. Honda dealer pissed me off with a bait and switch last year, so I jumped ship. Handling on the VW is much better than the Hondas ever were. Doesn't feel at all like a big 4 door sedan.
I also still have my 2002 Silverado Z71 that I bought new in July, 2002. It was my daily for about 5 years. Now it's just my utility, beach, hunting and tow vehicle. 11 years and it only has about 83K miles on it. |
2013 Audi S4 with Stasis tuning for 400 awhp. It's a blast to drive in the snow when the Z06 can't come out.
|
2004 GMC Envoy XUV with 120,000 miles going to keep it until the wheels fall off
|

2004 Toyota Corolla. Bought it brand new. Poor car only gets washed when it rains, BUT it has been a great little car to commute to work in, and to get groceries with.

Either the z06 or a 350z.
My morning commute is meant to be my wakeup routine. |
Ford Focus

I've got this DOPE AZZ 1993 Impreza 5 speed AWD 4 door saloon! It's got a massive, earth churning, 1.8 liter opposed 4 cylinder engine, laying down an IMPREZZIVE 84 horespower TO ALL FOUR WHEELS. You can hear this thing chirp a tire if the pavement is damp and you dump the clutch! DAM SON WHERE'D YOU FIND THAT? With 273,000 miles this thing is still going strong!
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Q...215_115141.jpg Sometimes I drive my 2006 Toyota Tundra 4.7 V8 luxury truck. Beast has 200,000 miles and is ultra reliable. This thing can tow 9000 pounds with ease. (not really, I did a bigger tranny cooler, tranny fluid temp gauge, and use a WDH and it gets the job done! I live in the mountains. Flatland would be no issue at all). https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...36685181_n.jpg Or I might whir up the 2006 Prius. This thing is a traffic beast, able to move along using no fuel at all in stop and go. I averaged about 41 mpg on a road trip to texas and back though. Could be better but pretty not bad! With these snow tires and disabling the traction control, I fly by 4x4 trucks all day in the snow. With the low CG this thing really sticks to the snow. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-L...6-no/Prius.JPG |
2014 Mazda6 - 6-spd manual
I'm my opinion.... (obviously since I bought one) ...hands down the most fun, well built, do-everything, practical (40 MPG) bargain of a new car at $19k on the planet. And the 185HP/185TQ normally aspirated Skyactive 2.5L runs on cheap gas and feels as torque-y as a turbo diesel 4 cyl. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t-drive-review |

The SS is an exceptional car...Built by Holden in Australia, the fit and finish are second to none...I needed a 4 door car, automatic for the wife to drive...This car fits the bill...It's quick for what it is...LS3 414HP, 415 Ft of tq...Recaro seats, the interior quality is great...Fun car to drive...Best of all, the wife is happy...If you put a Malibu next to the SS looks similar only at first glance, but next to the SS you can tell how really different they are...And yes it's bigger then a Malibu... |

Don't understand all the hate on the SS. It seems like the internet just decided to hate it and that's just how it was. I think it is a nice car and we need more affordable V8 powered sedans on the market. |

It's because us guys from the G8 crowd already had this car, it was just better looking, cheaper, and more practical (no staggered rims) - many G8 owners were anticipating big things from the SS and instead we got a regurgitated version w/ an impala interior & watered down exterior styling and NO 6 SPEED....something many coveted. Also it doesn't match the srt8 Chrysler offering.

Well, while the wife drives her 2002 Xtreme, I typically drive the 2003 Mini Cooper S. The CTS is used when we have someone sitting in the back seat.

heh, heh, my second black 2003 Evolution 8 (currently 38,000 miles); I retired (sold) my first black Evo 8 just last year at 170,000 miles. Much quiker and safer ride than the ZO6 in any urban setting, not to mention AWD in the crazy Cleveland weather

It would be a great car if it didn't already exist once before. People were expecting more and let down. Sorry for tangent had to explain IMO, it looks nicer than the G8 (inside and out), comes with more standard features, and costs about the same as the GXP (40k vs 44k, which isn't too far off considering they are 5 years apart). Don't consider the stagger a problem and welcome the wider 275s on the rear. Anyway, I can understand the perspective, but for the same reasons I like the G8, I like the SS too. |

Sachs clutch/ lightened flywheel/ Quaife diff. Dropped 40mm on KW Ver3 Coilovers. Eibach uprated bars/poly bushed all round. Porsche Turbo brakes/ Sportec wheels/Toyos. On a good day it will do 380+bhp from 1721cc [220 bhp/litre] yet will still give 35mpg on a cruise! Its street legal emissions wise, and like a pussycat round town. As you see it in the picture, it has over 100k on the clock, and still runs like a Swiss watch.
