WTB Auto 65,66,67, SB Orig engine

Looking for an automatic C2 roadster, (65,66,67). Original engine, SB, any HP. Perference for original AC car. Can be soft top only. No basket cases. Prefer unmolested stock car. Would like original color. Open to color, except White or Maroon. Midwest location ideal.
Price range dependant on condition. PM me or call 816-522-7525
Thanks, Jim

Second choice would be for a replacement engine BUT it must be date correct for the car.

Mike Terry 06-14-2014 04:17 PM

Both my SB's are 4 spds so that rules them out but you may want to come to Bloomington Gold in Champaign IL in a couple weeks. They have a car corral there plus people like me have there cars on there booth spaces F/S I am bringing 3 Vettes to sell myself. June 27th - 29th but you can bet there will be a lot of people there on Thursday the 26 for Vendor setup day. I am going to setup on Wed the 25th to avoid the vendor crowd of vendors setting up on Thursday. I well be setup already and just kicked back with a  in hand and one  for any forum members who stop by and say they saw my post. Good luck. http://www.bloomingtongold.com/ try that link. :yesnod:

Well, I drove to Bloomington Gold hoping to find a PG. No luck, actually I thought the turnout was very poor. Especially in the "for sale" area. Saw several parts vendors packing up on Friday afternoon.

Someone out must have a nice 65,66,67 roadster that needs a new good home

mdyearmike 06-29-2014 07:45 PM

Jim I was upset I didn't make it to Bloomington to search for a coupe but looks like it might have been a wasted trip. I haven't had much luck in my search for a legitimate car. Maybe a couple of cars will fall in our lap at the KC National. See you there. Mike

Mike, I agree, you would have wasted your money:thumbs:
I will guess there were no more than 35 cars total, C1,C2,C3,C4,C5, in the 'for sale' lot. There were a hand full of cars in the vendor area

Thanks for the leads Revfan!

The CA car is too rough for me. The silver car being a hardtop only car eliminates it for me.

For a finder's fee of $100.00 based on a purchase price of $60,000.00 equates to a percentage of 0.00166666666.
Or $1.60 per $1,000.00.
Obviously the people that are giving you leads are NOT motivated by the miniscule $100.00 "Finders Fee"...Mark

After a several hundred mile drive one way, I thought I had found THE car. VERY high optioned PG roadster. Seller doesn't email so pictures were very limited. But he said it was perfect, no excuses. (Note to self, ask many more questions on the phone and don't assume)
It was a nice sound car but it had too many issues that kept it well below the 68k price. Seller had purchased when the market was high and is hoping to recoup.
Anyway, still looking for that nice, CORRECTLY restored PG 65, 66, 67 roadster.
No white or Nassau/Marina.
Thanks

I thought by this time of year more PG roadsters would come to market. Unfortunately it seems there are fewer to choose from. I'm still looking for that nice 65,66,67 powerglide roadster. Again, no projects, no resto-rods, no white cars, Marina/Nassau are low on the color list.

If you have one and are thinking of letting your pride & joy move to a new home rather than storing for the winter, Let me know.

Weekly bump. Still looking for a nice car. My wife is patiently waiting for her new car to show up in the driveway. I have reviewed a number of Powerglide C2's. They have unfortunately not meet the criteria either due to color or quality.
I have found a couple very good candidates BUT the owners are not ready to sell. :(
If you have a good one and don't want it to sit in your garage through the winter, please contact me.

It certainly seems to me that there were more PG coupes built in 65, 66, & 67 than roadsters. Several of the coupes advertised would have filled the bill for me…if they were roadsters. I haven’t given up yet. There has to be the ‘right’ Powerglide roadster out there. :yesnod:

there is a beauty 64 auto in dallas for sale, # match, real nice,
I's go for it but I just want something other than red/Black, red/red ok,
my search is now open to 4 speed, my wife is just gonna have to learn to drive clutch, heck she can skate backwards so how hard can it be.

I will redo my WTB on monday, also open to finders fee for the :canadaflag:right car

I'll take the nassau / marina ones!

Thanks

I'll take the nassau /marina ones,

Still looking for a good PG roadster ;-)

I looked at this car for my friend years ago. I can't remember specifics but I didn't see any red flags back then.
He purchased it for his wife but she doesn't drive it anymore.
If you have interest I will call him and get more information.

old68, My reply was to 'plaidside' who posted a link to a 64.

If you will consider a 64 Convertible with PG and factory A/C in White I have a phone number that I can send to you. I do not know if it is still available or not but it is worth a try. Let me know if you want the number.

Broker for the seller says he has three people looking at it tomorrow. If not sold he will contact me. :ack:
Always interesting when brokers have no clue what the Trim Tag says. :D

Not to derail the post but

I passed on a car like that early in my search.... in retrospect, I probably should have bought it. 1 owner, saddle interior, all original (including paint that was nice), two tops, low miles... AND I could have bought it for $30K.
ughhhh....

Man... you are moving the goal posts on me.

Would like original color. Open to color, except White or Maroon. Midwest location ideal.

old68 01-09-2015 12:27 PM

52k original miles seems hard to believe
