We lost a beloved NE Member this weekend
Howdy y’all - been a minute since I’ve been back on CF and it’s with a very heavy heart that I inform those that knew Bob Cook aka Wicked Weasel, that he passed away this past Saturday from a massive heart attack. He was 47 years old and an OG member of the NE Forum. Please hug your family and tell them you love them and say a prayer for our beloved Bob.
please feel free to PM me and I’ll keep the post updated on arrangements. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...e78cbb62c.jpeg |
So sorry for Bob and his family ! :flaghalfmast::salute:

Thank you, Deb. Charlie called me this afternoon, and I still ca't believe it.
Bob was such a good, good guy and full of life. He was much too young to go, especially like this. He will be missed. :sadangel: If he was claimed by heart disease, people should know that it is a disease that often has no symptoms. Sometimes the first symptom you get is the one that takes you. I hope people will get checked. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...9491c9505d.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...b178e27ce2.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...39923d8bdb.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...f5c5458026.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...7c1210f06c.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...9c46330f77.jpg |

Very sad. I met Bob back in the days when the NY and CT crews would get together for a run. Enjoyed talking with him, very nice guy.

Much love. He was my first instructor at the Glen.
❤️ WW family, Wolfpack, and many other friends of this great man :) |
This was so heartbreaking to hear today. Bob was a great guy and will be missed for sure. May he Rest in Peace :grouphug:

Such sad news, Bob was an incredible person, so many great track days with him over the years. Bob was someone I really looked up to in life and I will miss him tremendously. I'm glad I talked him into going to Watkins Glen last October for one last track day.
btw Deb, not that it matters but Bob wasn't 47, he was born in 1967 which is why his race number was 67. |
Very sad for sure. :(
|
Good soul horrible news :sadangel:
RIP Bob |
Met him at Thunderbolt, great guy, sorry to hear about his passing.
|

So young, so sad.
godspeed |
Thanks for posting the details, Doug.
I'd like to say goodbye to my friend, but I won't be able to make the service. The cemetery is near my brother's house, actually closer, and is a possibility. :sadangel: |
Just found out about Bob's passing. RIP Bob, :sadangel: not sure but I may have been Bob's only HPDE student that time at VIR, not sure if he ever recovered and instructed again. Roger was there too, it's been 5 years since we lost him. :sadangel:

I am rarely on facebook and not so much on the forum these days, so I never saw this. Don B. just called me yesterday and told me the tragic news. So sad!
His daughter and my stepdaughter were in the same acting school, so I'd run into him from time to time, as well when he came to me as a patient. Bob was a good guy and a true car guy. He will be missed dearly! Ron |

My condolences to his family and friends. I r I joined some of those rides years ago and remember him. Nice guy. Sorry to hear he is gone. RIP. |
This is sad, I could't believe it. Yes he was always a helping hand when ever I ask for it at a track event.
I came on happy tonight to see if any old crew were interested in a run ,and wham this!!! |
I just bought a C6 Z06 and Bob was the first guy that I texted. I thought it strange that he didn't reply so googled and found his Obit. Devastated! It been about 5 years since I stopped commuting to NYC. Back then I sat next to him on the ferry every day. I hope everyday in heaven is a track day and every weekend is a Steelers win. RIP

Just went on the forum and found this terrible news. I haven’t been on here since probably when Alex disappeared. Didn’t really know him that well but for the great runs with the Wolfpack and BBQs at motons.
