My first attempt at photoshop
I always wondered what my car would look like yellow. What do you think for a first try? I darkened the windows a bit also. It looks a bit more realistic if you click on the photo.

Re: My first attempt at photoshop (yellowlust)
Looks much better now. Now tell us all exactly the steps you took to do it. Ya know, a little lesson in Photoshop. I know there are a lot of people on here that are very good at it, but some of us could use some help with the basics. The funny thing is, I make a living doing audio visual work and also PowerPoint presentations. I have done a ton of PowerPoint stuff for my clients and to tell you the truth, the only thing I use PhotoShop for is resizing, cropping, and stuff like that. In some respects I find Paint Shop Pro easier to use in these situations. The PowerPoint stuff I do is all very professional and looks good, but I have no idea how to use PhotoShop to it's potential or even a fraction of it. I know there are many great features to it, but I just never had, nor took the time to lean them. Maybe we could start a section just for Photoshop tips, tricks, tutorials, etc. It might be pretty cool...

Re: My first attempt at photoshop (Hamert)
I used Replace Color and tweaked the Hue and Saturation. But like any other program there can be several ways to accomplish the same task. Unfortunately it take experience to know which way works best. In my case, years and years of experience.
It's like working on a car, until you get the experience it only does so much good to have someone tell you how to do it. |
Re: My first attempt at photoshop (TA)
Can't go wrong with yellow! :D

Re: My first attempt at photoshop (TA)
When I get bored a take cars into Photoshop and do all kinda of wacky things. Recently I've been chopping tops and making cowl induction hoods. I've become way too proficient and lowering cars, shaving doorhandles, etc. I love subtleties (spelling?). I'll upload a few of my own creations on here in a few minutes. Color changes are always difficult because of shading. Shades tend to fade as the color changes, so usually I try to find a color I like and just use it.

http://members.aol.com/abltsandwich/...edc5-small.jpg Chopped top, tinted windows, lowered, larger wheels, shaved door handles, gas tank, smoothed front and rear bumper lines, rocker panel lines, and amber side turn signal marker. What happened to those exhaust pipes? :D http://members.aol.com/abltsandwich/...edc4-small.jpg Chopped top, shaved door handle, smoothed lines along bottom rocker panel, rear bumper line, larger wheels, lowered, amber side marker turn signals http://members.aol.com/abltsandwich/...aylm-small.jpg Shaved door handles (noticing a pattern here yet?), smoothed body moldings, rear bumper lines, rocker panel line, flames, larger wheels, and if I lowered it any more than where it started, it would look bad.
