Inferno gets a second Earth Shaking upgrade

For those Curious George's that was wondering where I was all day - I was here :D

Prepping my car for a combination of Stereo upgrade of the original stereo upgrade I did last September - and Frost King/Dynamat install - see pix...

No upgrade would be complete without some Rice :o)

The sub is a Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 so it peaks at 600watts when the cap hits, nominal is 300wrms. I almost went for the Stage 3 but the box does not have enough volume to use the additional power. The amp is 600wrms (1200watts peak) single channel into 4ohms, so I've got a lot of reserve power. I've set the rolloff at 80hz so it should shake the car (and neighborhood) nicely :D.

I also have 2 x 8inch RF Stage 1 subs in the front doors so it should rock the house (in every way) :lolg:

oh, and the Type R emblem install and more neon :D

Note Type R emblem :D:D:D

Dave, Thanks!! Don't you live on the Left Coast in the Land of the Governator? :D

It will take a couple of weekends. When I got rid of the B-L-ose system last year, I cut a lot of corners like using the stock wiring harness for the speakers, not installing the crossovers, just removing and replacing speakers, single amp and so on. All because I wanted to complete the stereo mod in one weekend.

So now I've decided to redo the whole thing and do it properly. There will be 4 tweeters, 4 mids, and 3 subs, 3 amps, cap, active crossovers, 2 guage wire, etc.

I thought while I had everything ripped out, I would Dynamat the sub area and the sounding board between the the gas tanks, as well as behind the mids and in the doors. Everywhere else will get Frost King.

Should sound a lot better when completed.

KAHLIFO'NIA rules! I actually met him at a fund raiser ... Geez us! The size of that melon! LMAO.
Just remember the to wear gloves when you Dynamat ... that stuff leave lots of little nicks on your hands. This is the voice of experience.
When you mount your x-overs, I secured mine to the doors, right where the GM "Sound Mat" went. Haven't had issues. Let me if you need pix. Just my 2 cents for ya'. I know ... I know .... you have more than warm boogers in your head.

Dave,
Email me some pix. I'm mounting my crossovers behind the seats down low - they are active and need to be in open air (somewhat) for cooling.
Thanks for the gloves tip!

Thanks!
Dynamat and Frost King are going in first everywhere - and I do mean everywhere - including the overhead hoop :D

I'm in two minds right now if to just Dynamat everywhere - but I have heard some horror stories of a strong tar smell in summer from too much Dynamat.
