Why would anyone in there right mind do this

Alx1rl 02-12-2005 05:48 PM

I think it looks good! Real good actually, not saying i would do it, but it looks nice! My friend did it on his BMW 850Csi, and on his Escalade, i think its a nice touch! And nothing is messed up everything aligns perfectly.

350Zs have had Lambo doors available since 2003 without window indexing problems.

N2DEEP 02-12-2005 05:54 PM

Not saying that I would do it either but I too think its bad ass!!

tbyrne 02-12-2005 05:58 PM

There were ALOT of cars at SEMA with these doors. I'd go for it if I wasn't going to be driving the car alot. They might become a PITA to open and close alot.

TRAYC7 02-12-2005 06:18 PM

Its different.. dont believe I would do it to mine...

The Garage Master 02-12-2005 09:35 PM

Looks good but not for me either.

ProfMoriarty 02-12-2005 09:41 PM

I wouldn't do it because it looks silly.

Now, give me a Murcielago and I won't complain...

Same here!

The doors don't open as wide that way and actually may save a few possible dings if someone tries to park to close. So it would probably be be easier than stock. But I think it may look wierd on the convertible.

:iagree:

The Lambo Doors won't mess up the indexing because they start to open like the regular door for a couple of inches and then starts to raise. Me personally I can't wait to put these on my car, but I'm also just a kid.

DryHeat 02-13-2005 10:53 AM

It does not look like this mod would make enter/exit any easier-- as a matter of fact, from this viewpoint, it looks like it'd be difficult to get past the doors.
Looks cool, however.

Its looking different and good, but I dont know if I would want an after mrkt job on such a part of my car..i would have loved it if factory came out with it, but not get them put on, but its cool.

C6SNOOPY 02-13-2005 11:56 AM

Looks good, but not for me though!

Advantage: good for tight spaces!

Vette346 02-13-2005 12:22 PM

I personally think the Corvette could use additional weight, Lambo doors, maybe throw on some 20 inch spinners since I hear unsprung weight is really good for the car. For the money spent on that you could buy some performance mods that would actually do something for the car......

75 Red Vert 02-13-2005 01:03 PM

Not for me, but it would get attention at a car show.

seesix 02-13-2005 01:48 PM

Even though I think its completely unneccessary and ridiculous looking, you gotta love this country that we live in where a business like this exists to accommodate those that are into this. Amazing. Before I start singing God Bless America I should probably end this post. :flag:
