2003 ZO6 Tire Size

I know this is probably like beating a dead horse, but here goes.
What tire size can I upgrade to (the largest) front and rear on stock ZO6 wheels, without having any clearance problems?
Thanks in advance

Those are not the stock wheel sizes.

315/30-18's will give you a shorter tire than the stock ones in rear (25.44 diameter compared to stock 26.13 diameter)

305/35-18's will give you 26.41 diameter and will effect your speedo slightly.

He didn't go into front sizes.

I am upgrading to 275/35YR18 fronts and 295/35YR19 rear (BFG G-force T/A KDW-2 tires) on new C6 wheels. The problem is in the rear wheel offset. The C6 rears have a +79mm offset and the stock Z06 rears are +58mm. I had to order spacers specially machined to move the wheels out on the rear. The fronts are the same stock offset (+56mm).

Stock wheel sizes?? He wasn't asking about the wheel sizes.

He asked for the biggest tires possible and I gave him suggestions.

Hey dtwalkerfl, Thanks, would the results of the 305's on the speedo be minimal?

Thanks Again

OutlawDon 03-31-2005 01:09 AM

305's will be fine. Won't screw with the ABS/TC sensors. Speedo will just be slower than actual speed, but very very minimal. Less than 2% difference.

Below is a post for upgraded rims and tires from a experienced racer on this forum.
Sorry, forget his screen name.... :(
Whomever you are, I hope you don't mind... :)

I recommend:
305/30x18 on 10.5x18 with +0.25" offset for the front
and 315/35x17 on 11x17 with +0.25" offset in the rear.
This neutralizes the handling, increases front grip, increases front turn in, decreases braking distance, increases front steering response and modulation, reduces understeer and stabilizes the flex of the front side wall.
It also increases rear traction under hard acceleration and cornering allowing the car to "squat" better.
This results in higher corner entry speeds, mid corner speed and corner exit speed.

Would this be BETTER than stock? Or is this just the best option ONLY if you wantt o upgrade??
