A 68 Sold For $50K On Barret-Jackson
I think it was a 427/435HP. I wonder what deals like that is doing to the rest of our cars?

was it a coupe or vert, 4sp or auto...?
original..? |
They had it listed as an L89 with many options. Lot #416 on their auction site. Hope this helps out.

Also, I checked out the description of the 69 "L89" red vert that went for $49k... note the description says, "correct bigblock" which is very different from "original bigblock" and not even "replacement bigblock" so without some really good documentation that looks like a manufactured car to me. |
There is no way values of Corvettes of any descriptions are going down, they might begin to plateau a little, but when price is bumpy for any vehicle, especially at auction, you have to take into account the lots around it, bidder preferences etc. Im not gunna read too much into that. Besides, 50k is a lot for any car, (Even a c6 which is more).

Guys I would not worry, every year in Corvette Fever C3's have been the most appreciating Generation ($$$) for the past couple years.
