Griffin radiator and BB hoses

I purchased a Griffin 31X19 radiator for my BB 69 vert and am having trouble finding a lower hose that will fit properly. The first hose I got from Autozone is/will be rubing the upper crossshaft bolt. The second hose I got was just "L" shape and wants to kink in the middle. Any suggestions on lower hose for this application.

those general purpose radiators have straight connections so it can be tough.

What about a general purpose flexible hose. Route it how you see fit.

let us know how it works out.

Did the Griffin fit in the stock support or did you have to fab?

I'm using the 3-piece lower hose setup. I think I got it fromZips or Paregon. It's comprised of one rubber lower rubber hose which connects to a metal tube as it crosses the lower crossmember. The metal tube is about 8 inches long. The other end of the metal tube then connects to another rubber L-haped hose, which then connects to the WP.

I think it's a setup from a 68-72 BB W/AC. It's pretty nice since with 3 pieces you can wiggle things around a little better. This is the upper hose and metal tube.

The Griffin radiator fits perfect with a 27" support.

Lower hose

Just happened to read an article in the FAQ section on this same hose setup. The author used their number 238 and XL060. Go take a look and see if they will work. The setup using a BB with A/C 3 piece is another way to go. Get a lower hose from some application (look through the display that the auto store) that has an "S" in it for the piece from the radiator to the steel inline pipe. Then use a standard BB hose form the water pump to the pipe. Universals work, just be creative. Good luck.
