Just for the fun/noise of it.....

I took my stock exhaust off my 92 that I wasn't using anyway, and welded in what I call an "H/X pipe"

I have no idea what it will sound like or do to the performance or how it will effect resonance. I'll tell you after the Memorial weekend when I have time to swap out my exhaust. The hole between the two pipes is much bigger than an "H" pipe and doesn't snake down like some X-pipes.

Cool! At least if you don't like it, you can always go back to the way it was.

If you get a chance, please post a sound bite.

I bet it equalizes flow and works just fine. Yes, sound clip!
DIY rocks!

Won't the stock resonator equalize the flow? Does it help to equalize it farther down the system? Inquring minds want to know. Update us when you install

yeah but will it add horse power??

need to work on your welding a little bit, just kidding

Yeah, there was a little problem welding the OEM exhaust as it has an aluminum coating on the outside. It was hard to get a smooth flow.

I do not know if the OEM resonator connects the 2 sides. As far as equalizing down stream, I took some advice from the LT4 exhaust where it has a H-pipe welded back by where I did mine. Besides, that is where the hot spot was.

No, the resonator is like two separate straight through mufflers. Tom, that looks real similar to the way I had my PE system modified. On that system which also has a resonator, it made a very noticeable difference in low end torque and throttle response.

Hey Chris, which way did the low end go, up or down?

It improved the torque.

It's on and they don't leak. Now I'm waiting for the rain to go away. Still sounds great. If I can't beat them, I sure can scare them.

This set up makes my beautiful B&Bs sound like a stock exhaust. I'll put them back on when I put the long tubes on. Now I have 3 different exhaust systems for my Vette, normal (OEM), B&Bs, and now loud. So what ever my attitude for the month might be, I'll match it with my exhaust.
