Are there any aftermarket automatic shift knobs for the C6?
 

The stock knob is borderline disgusting, and doesn't belong in an 80's car much less one in 2005. Are there any aftermarket ones available yet? I believe that the C5 automatic knobs will not work because they are mounted differently.

Yes, see the link below. Installed one on my C6 in two minutes. No adapter needed. Instructions easy. Put car in 1st gear. Then, just pull the staple out of the stock knob and save it. Put on new knob and insert staple.

IMHO looks much better than the stock knob. Of course, my dog's ass looks better than the stock knob.

Although I've never seen a picture of your dog's ass, I bet it does indeed look better then the stock knob. :D :lol: :thumbs:

I wonder if they have a carbon fiber one in the works? (The shift knob of course) :lol:

I spent a lot time online looking for a replacement for the stock one, and the only one I found so far that fits the C6 is the one from Breathless and to my knowledge they have no other finishes.

I have been told that there will be an adapter for the C6 auto shifter on the market in a month or so that will allow you to screw on any aftermarket knob...including ones for manual trannies.

If you find any other ones right now, let us know. If I find a better one, I may switch out later. I just was not going to let the stock one stay in the car.

I like the stock knob. I guess your dog has a nice ass!

If you like the Breathless shift knob then go for it. IMHO, it resembles some sort of alien space craft. It also would retain heat from the drive train as well as from a closed car parked outside on a hot day. Be careful! :cheers:

IMHO, the 2006 knob looks better than what I had.

By the way, one downside to the Breathless knob is that the button which you push to change gears gets scratches on its sides as its goes down....and no funny comments here! :smash:

Well, everyone has their own idea of taste, but I wouldn't put that thing in my car. I like the stock leatherette covered knob.
