Largest cam without changing valve springs?

I know I could call a supplier, but they do want to sell you stuff... What is the largest hydraulic camshaft that you can put in a 350 (041 heads) and not have to change/upgrade the valve springs? I want to keep it as simple and cheap as possible because I'll probably be selling the motor in several months. Thanks as always for your input.

Just go for a 210-218 duration cam @.050. Anything larger won't match the heads, intake gears etc. You'll have good torque.

If they're like the springs that came in the 041 head, the simple answer is no more than 0.480"-0.490" valve lift. If the springs are +20 years old, I wouldn't put a new higher-lift cam under them ... even though they might handle the lift when you measure for coil bind ... they are WEAK! ... and may break when running under the new stress! I'd pop for a new set of $25 "Z28" springs.
SpeedPro-SealedPower P/N VS739R
Howards Cams P/N 98214
Elgin P/N RV943X

For duration reference, stock L82 was 222°/222°.

Three good choices of hydraulic flat tappet cam & lifter kits are:
SpeedPro-SealedPower P/N KC1062R 0.468"/0.480" 220°/231°
Summit P/N SUM-K1105 0.465"/0.488" 224°/234°
Elgin P/N E1015 0.465"/0.488" 224°/234° (cam only, no lifters)

Want a little less cam?
SpeedPro-SealedPower P/N CS1013R 0.443"/0.465" 214°/224°
Elgin P/N E1166 0.453"/0.480" 216°/218° (cam only, no lifters)

Thank you both for your advice. The heads were reconditioned by a local machine shop with new components and the motor only has 15,000 miles on it. It's been off the road for several years though.
