Who Likes Cascade Green on a 57?
Hi,
I am real close to purchasing an original Cascade Green 57. Who likes this color, and who doesn't? Is this going to be a hard color to sell one day. I kind of like it, but admit that I would want to sell it one day and am curious if it will be hard to get rid of? Thanks, livin |
I love it...it is a classic 50's color....

I Don't Like Green On Anything! Not Even My Lawn, Because That Means That I Have To Mow!!!!!!!!!!
I Especially Don't Like Green On any Car! |
I think Cascade Green, which is more of a turquoise color, is a great and fairly popular color for the 57. You won't have any trouble selling it when you're ready.

'57 Cascade Green, one of my all time favorites.

hmmmm
Well although I am not really a "green" type of guy, there are some that I do like... Cascade being one of them... Buy it's really up to "YOU".. If you like it (and your wife if you're married) then that's cool.. Your buying the car for your enjoyment not someone elses... IF you decide to sell at a later time, just look within.. You bought it right??? So will someone else... Have phun..

It's a classic 50's color. I love it. I've seen several painted that color. Cascade Green is one of my favorites. Chuck

You don't even have the car purchased and your worrying about selling it? Sounds like you don't keep cars very long. Just remember... if it says chevrolet on the hood some fool will pay more than you did. Cascade green is the best color in 57, based on my 3 cents.

I think it is a great color and you should buy it and enjoy it.
Keep in mind in a few years when you try and sell it, you will realize it is a very difficult color to sell and you will take a major loss on the sale. But call me (only) and out of the generosity of my heart and since you are a forum brother, I will try and pay you something for your old, undesireable '57. Buy this car. Enjoy this car. It is a classic look from the 50's. It's a '57. IT'S A '57! IT IS A 1957 CORVETTE! I want a '57 bad. Buy this car so I can live knowing that another forum member has this car and it is in safe hands. Go buy it now. Today. Stop reading this and go get that car. NOW. |
Paint it so you like it--for me that green is for MG's tho i spent to long in Uncle Sams green machine so i just might be a little one sided? me i'm going with "resale red" on my car -have to as the seats are done in red already  --Glenn :flag:

IMO It's the best color they put on a 57
PS Out of my 25 cars (not counting my wife's) I have only owned one red car - and I promised myself I would never own another - interior or exterior. Resale red is nosale to me. |
guess I like it too.. mine in it's current state .. http://home.comcast.net/~dgravestx/C.../P1010098s.JPG

It's a classic color for that year. I love it.

I do not like green eggs and ham. But I would eat them on a Cascade Green 57.

Love IT!!  :smash:

In general, green isn't one of my favorite car colors, but Cascade Green on a '57 is "boss," as Murray the K (the self proclaimed "fifth Beatle") might have said on 1010 WINS back in the mid- '60's before the station converted from top 40 format to all news.
It is a real '50's type of color, so it's perfectly relevant for the car. I'd say go for it without hesitation, assuming the car, exclusive of color, is what you would be happy with. I'd sure give you an admiring and enthusiastic wave if you were driving by, as I would to any Vette, especially a C1 or C2. |
Buy the car. Cascade green =
