Just finished my NOS 5177 installation web page....

I finally got around to making my NOS 5177 installation web page. I've posted some of the pictures here before, but now they're all on one page and there's a little write up to go with it. I hope it helps someone.....

I'll add some more to it later and update it regularly as needed.....including results from the dyno I have scheduled on 11/17/05....

Very cool. Looks like it took some time to put together. I sure like that main purge pic up over the shield. i am going to put a link to your site in my links section of my web. I like the bottle location pics, as I have tried to describe this before, but a pic is worth a ...

Great write up Steve. Where are you getting the Dyno run?

X-ZZ4 11-08-2005 10:03 AM

Robert,

Thanks.....and I really appreciate all the advice!

DC,

Dyno is scheduled for 11/17/05 with a few other local vette guys. Just a dyno (2 pulls), not a tune. Since the car is basically stock except for a Vararam and Long Tubes I'm really only expecting (hoping for) around 410 rhwp. But I've got other plans to boost that up over 500 in the future though.....:reddevil

Thanks guys!

Hey Mark! :seeya

I didn't know you changed your screen name. When you heading back to the Gulf?

The dyno is in Santee.....then there's a BBQ at Jims house (jmzvet) afterwards. Here's the thread.....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...20&forum_id=45

Here's the website where they put all the results..... http://www.dynoperformance.com/the dyno shop ..... and here's the shop itself.... http://www.thedynoshop.com/ .

Theoretically the signup list is full, but I'll bet if you e-mailed the guy who runs this thing, Tanner Schlientz , at tschlientz@dynoperformance.com he could sqeeze you in, there's always no shows or late cancels. Or heck, even if you just showed up I'll bet you'd be fine. Who's gonna turn away a Marine in a vette that wants to dyno!?! :D

Steve what shot are you running, and is it jetted to rear wheels or the crank as per NOS. Why I ask, I dynoed 480+ rwhp and 505+ Torque jetted with a 135rwhp shot. So, you may see bigger gains than you expect. I do have the conversion table for crank to rw hp if your interested.

I've been running with the .032 jets in it for the 100 shot at the motor. This weekend I stuck in my .034's to try and get it closer to 100 at the wheels. If those work out well I'm thinking about stick in my .038's for the dyno......but being I'm still on my 26# injectors I'm not too sure about that......

I've got 28#ers.......but it's a pain for me to get up to A&A to get a tune so I've still got them sitting on the shelf.

I'm going by "The Colonels" jetting chart. You have a jetting chart for RWHP? I'd love to see it.

Yea with the 26lb'ers you are manybe pushing it past 100. The .032s are generally closer to 85rwhp, the .034s about 95rwhp and the .038s about 105rwhp. Every .001 increase in jet size is about 2.5hp increase.
