I did not appreciate the uniqueness of the 73s until I bought one.

Group Hug!

Awesome photos, they (and that magazine) seem to be in very good shape
I've read that Chevy tried to get these aluminum rims on the C3 in '73 but it took them a while to get the quality right. These photos must must have been taken when they introduced the rims that didn't make it to the dealer... nice find  |
The GM photo archives has that same 1973 corvette on a green grass field. Beautiful photo. It can be orderd in 5 dfferent sizes from the GM archives. I have one framed in my garage. Note the rare 73 center grill with the leading edges chromed.

How Sweet It Is ! ! ! :d

OMG!!! I don't care what anyone says. 1973 had that best of both.
Beautiful looks. The contrast of the rear chrome and soft nose, and the availabitly of L48 L82 and 454 BB Build quality, and safely standards improved and just an overall GREAT CAR! LOL :) That car in Yellow with those rims looks mint  |

The front center grills are much more common and were OEM equipment on any '73 sold in a state/province with only one license plate. Here's mine: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-...r speedway.jpg |
That's from the Oct/Nov 1972 issue of Corvette News..........got a pristene copy of that myself. I also by luck contacted an old corvette dealer from the midwest who was cleaning out his stockpiled parts and dealer stuff a few years back. He sold me two brand new license plates you see on the rear of the yellow vette... what a buy for $10....

Here's another one that I scanned in; obviously the centerfold. Maybe someone with Photochop skills can fix the seam?
By the way I think these pictures were taken in the courtyard outside the design studio. The pavers and brick fence show up in a lot of factory Corvette photos http://www.imagesup.com/usr/103/File0008.jpg |
I really dig that center grille
