I have one of those too and it works very well. It is very low profile and lifts the rear of the Z plenty high to crawl underneath. I used it the other day to install my CAGS eliminator.

What kind of lift? Be curious as to what you have and how you like it.

Is this similar to the model you have?

What a great idea and the perfect "accessory" for maintaining your Z06.

Couple questions:
1. Does the air-dam or splitter rub when you go over the lift? My Z06 seems to scrape on anything more than 2" high.

2. Where did you purchase the unit and was it an easy install?

Thanks again.

I ordered over the phone...straight from benpak...set up is easy ...fill tank with fluid..hook up one hyd. line...and plug in....I didnt even anchor it for the first week....no scraping ...drive up ramps on each side...set it where you want it and use it ten minutes later....I park over it each nite..so both cars still fit in the garage. Its only 4 inches high ,but has ramps on each side.It makes it sooooo easy to wax...raise it...sit on my stool with wheels and just go around the car doing the whole bottom first..no muss no fuss..I paid around 1100 and change for it...weighs around 800lbs. You can get it fixed or portable.

That sounds wonderful. I spend a lot of time detailing my cars and am getting tired of sitting on the concrete floor - especially in the winter.

I assume you didn't get the portable unit because you mentioned getting it anchored. Also, do you trust this enough to go under the car? (at least where there is access).

Thanks again.

It is a well built unit..they make some of the best around.I have been under the car many times...Yes I guess I trust it.
If you live in so cal. feel free to stop by and see it.

What if any special equipment or service charges did they hit you with? Did this lift require a lift gate truck to deliver? I have an 04 Z16 and want to save my back some bend over time when detailing. Do you park over this lift when not driving your vette? $ inches is cutting it close to bottoming out a stock Z. Any pic's of your car on this lift? If so can you send me a couple to (Plon9mike@aol.com).

Thanks Mike P.

My local Costco had a really slick looking Chinese-made jack for under $100 a couple days ago. It appears to have a very long, low front end (under 4" spec).

Oil change....

Is the engine oil drain plug clear of the lift when in upmost position?

I park the car over the lift every night. As far as clearance I have no problem. The pics on the benpak site are hard to tell much of anything.I will bring my camera home this weekend and give you detailed pics of the lift, car on lift and floor shots showing clearance when parked over it.I park both my 05 coupe and my newest arrival my z06 over it no sweat. The lift has ramps on both sides ,so you just drive up and over and down the other side.Service is easy as you can get to everything.it has wide ramps covered with a heavy rubber so I just drive on it and lift ..no lift blocks etc....I had it del. to my work address and unloaded it with a forklift...then had one of my trucks with liftgate deliver it to my house..Used a pallet jack to move it into the garage. They will do home delivery also but it cost extra. The lift is one great tool for me.

I measured the distance from the rocker panel to the ground to be about 4 3/4" on my Z06. Took the measurement just under the forward part of the door. I believe that gives about 3/4" clearance with the lift you are using.

Does that sound about right?
