I seem to be replacing way too many low mileage engines lately. Three 5.7's in the last month. All in the 50,000 mile range.1992-1995's. Good, clean, well maintained vehicles. Oil changes every 3000 miles. But they are just worn out at 50k. High oil consumption, worn rings, bad valve seals. Is this due to the low nickle content cast iron blocks made in Mexico? (remember the camshafts from the mid to late 70's?)
Is anyone else in the industry seeing this?
