Chevy does put out a small pamphlet as well as the big brochure. Dealers do tend to save the big ones for 'serious' customers or just don't want to spend the money on them. But, they don't cost $40. You can purchase the big brochure from the National Corvette Museum for $14.95 http://www.corvettemuseum.com/

Try gmbuypower.com. I just tried it out because I heard it was out there. You can get quite a bit of info there. Once you get into the Corvette area, you can pick options and get a price breakdown. There is a on-line mini brochure that gives some info on the car. You can even check dealer inventories for the car you would like to buy. All this without having to be hassled by salesmen.
I once stumbled across a web site where you could order vehicle brochures and they would fed-ex them to your house for free! But I'll be darned if I can find the site now. I requested info on the Corvette sometime late summer I'm going to guess. Within a couple of days, it showed up. But what I got wasn't the dealer sales brochure, I think it was even better. It was a spiral bound book that told the story of the design of the C5, had lots of pics, came in a nice fold open box. I thought it was pretty cool, but didn't have any sales info on the Y2K vette though. |

I found the web site I mentioned above where you can request a Corvette brochure to be mailed to your house. It is:
http://www.gmnao.com/?division=01 I just requested one, so I will wait and see what I get and post results. I got here by going through: http://www.gm.com where you can reqest information on any GM vehicle. Click on the "gm.com" icon, then pick the brand name icon from the top of the page. |
How about getting information on a two year old (98) model? I purchased my C5 in December, and the original owner did not have the original window sticker or the dealer brochure. Local Chevy dealer said I could order a duplicate window sticker for a few bucks, but I'm interested in any other promotional stuff I can get my hands on specific to the 98. Also, what can I expect to pay for a service manual?
thanks, ck |
