Stock CD changer and Burned CD's

Does anyone know which CDR can be used in the stock disk changer?

I have tried blue colored and they don't play, but lighter colored blue play, but has static. Now silver colored (original CD's) play just fine.

I have gone to computer shops and none of them know of any silver or light colored CDR's.

Does anyone know which brand will play in the disk changer with out static?

Thanks.

From what I have read, the critical item is to make sure that you have it formatted for 72 minutes, not the media.

Hope this helps. :seeya

I have used all sorts and had no issues. I mostly use silver now, but the gold ones work well. Never tried blue however.

I have used PNY Tech CDR's and they work fine, they're also for 80 minutes.

If I am correct I believe that the type of cd is what matters. I think you must have cd-r or they wont work on most cars. Color does not matter.

I got a spindle of 50 cd-r's for $8.99 at MicroCenter and have no problems with them. The bottom is blue, for those who might want to know.
