Valve cover emblem adhesive

I just re-painted my L82 valve covers and bought a new crossed flags emblem to put on it. I thought that the emblem had its own adhesive, but does not. What do I use to glue this thing on? Obviously, it has to be something that can withstand the heat.

Thanks for the help. (sorry, I just had to use one of the new smiley's)

I thin film of clear silicone will do the job

I bought that same emblem from Ecklers and it was adhesive backed.

I thought this one was too. Bought it from Corvette Central with some other stuff, but when I peeled the paper off, the back was dry. Unless you have to lick it like a stamp, this ones adhesive either dried up, or is not there. I'm going to have to go a different route. It's not worth sending back or paying to order a new one from Eckler's.

I found my emblem after a year wedged between the manifold and the valve cover. Can't believe it stayed there. I just smeared some clear silicone on it also. Been there three years now.
